How to Install Emergency Mobile Toilets
Admin October 02, 2026
The installation of emergency mobile toilets should follow the steps below to ensure safety, stability, and full functionality:

I. Planning and Preparation Before Installation
- Site Survey and Selection: Prioritize flat, solid areas slightly higher than the surrounding ground, avoiding low-lying areas, slopes, or soft soil. Ensure the installation location is easily accessible for sewage removal vehicles and away from sensitive areas such as water sources and kitchens. Reserve sufficient space for placing the toilet unit and personnel access, and position it downwind to reduce odor impact.
- Facility Inspection and Inventory: After transportation, check against the inventory list to ensure all components, including the toilet body, roof, sewage storage tank (or septic tank), ventilation pipe, door lock, and handrails, are complete and undamaged during transportation. Record any issues promptly and communicate with the supplier.
- Tool and Personnel Preparation: Prepare tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, spirit levels, and gloves. At least two to three adults are required to collaborate in moving and positioning a single toilet unit.
II. Positioning and Placement of the Main Body
- Foundation Preparation: Flatten and compact the soil. For long-term placement or poor ground conditions, lay gravel or use anti-sinking pads. Mark the four corners of the toilet at the planned location.
- Moving and Positioning: Collaboratively lift the toilet body steadily off the vehicle or packaging and slowly place it at the predetermined location, ensuring the sewage outlet of the storage tank faces the direction of sewage removal operations.
- Leveling and Stabilization: Use a spirit level to measure the top edge of the door frame or the ground, adjusting to a level state by inserting wooden or stone plates or special leveling blocks. Ensure all four corners are firmly grounded without wobbling.
III. Attachment Installation and System Connection
- Roof Fixing (Split Type): Align the roof with the top slot or bolt holes of the toilet body and fix it with bolts or fasteners from the inside or side to ensure wind and rain resistance.
- Ventilation System Installation: Connect the ventilation pipe to ensure air circulation inside the toilet and reduce odor accumulation.
- Foundation Fixing (Optional): Use a spirit level to adjust the equipment to a stable state and fix it with expansion bolts or counterweights to enhance stability.
- Water and Electricity Connection and Debugging: Connect the sewage pipe, turn on the water supply, and test the flushing function and drainage seal to ensure no leakage.
- Detail Inspection and Cleaning: Install accessories such as door curtains and anti-slip mats, and clean and disinfect the interior to improve the user experience.
Precautions: Strictly follow operational specifications during installation to avoid safety hazards caused by damaged components or inadequate fixing. If renting equipment, confirm installation details and subsequent maintenance responsibilities with the supplier.
