Principles of Ecological Mobile Toilets
Admin September 28, 2026
Ecological mobile toilets are based on different technical principles and are mainly classified into waterless flushing, water-saving, and recirculating water flushing types. They incorporate innovative technologies such as microbial degradation and intelligent systems to achieve environmental protection and resource recycling.

Waterless Flushing Ecological Toilets
- Waterless Packaging Type: Composed of biodegradable film packaging bags, mechanical devices, and a fecal storage tank. When waste enters the toilet, a traction device automatically packages the waste in the bags and stores it in the tank, eliminating the need for water flushing. The packaged waste can be collected and processed later.
- Waterless Biological Treatment for Fertilizer Production Type: Equipped with a biochemical reactor, feces are degraded and fermented by microorganisms to produce humic organic fertilizer. Urine can be treated and used as liquid fertilizer, achieving resource utilization of waste.
- Waterless Flushable Ecological Toilet: Uses a urine-feces separator to isolate urine, which is then treated with special agents to produce odorless, light blue liquid used as flushing water. Feces are mixed with the flushing water and processed into odorless, pulp-like fluid, reducing odors and pollution.
Water-Saving Ecological Toilets
- Foam Sealing Type: Uses foam generated by a foaming agent instead of water for flushing, achieving a water-saving rate of over 90% and significantly reducing water consumption.
- Vacuum Self-Priming Type: Relies on the air pressure difference between the toilet and the sewage system to draw fecal wastewater into storage or treatment devices, consuming only 0.5 to 1 liter of water per use, with remarkable water-saving effects.
Recirculating Water Flushing Ecological Toilets
- Recirculating Water Flushing with Biological Treatment Type: Converts organic matter in feces and urine into carbon dioxide and water through electrocatalytic reactions. The treated clean water is reused for toilet flushing or landscaping. This type does not require an external power supply, relying instead on solar power, and achieves a closed-loop water recycling system.
- Recirculating Water Flushing with Membrane Separation Type: Uses membrane technology to separate the supernatant from feces and urine, producing clean water for reuse. The feces are fermented to produce organic fertilizer, improving water resource utilization and waste treatment efficiency.
