Dry Mobile Toilet Feces Treatment

Admin September 27, 2026

There are mainly two methods for treating feces in dry mobile toilets: dry packing and microbial decomposition.

Dry Packing Method

Dry-packing mobile toilets do not have a water flushing system, and their feces treatment method is relatively direct and simple. Excrement is collected by biodegradable plastic bags placed beneath the sanitary fixtures. This design ensures that the fixtures remain relatively clean after each use, preventing the buildup of odors and stains. After each use, the system automatically replaces the used plastic bag with a new one, ensuring a clean environment for the next user. Once the plastic bags are full, staff collect them and transport them to a specialized treatment plant for disposal. The advantages of this method include its simplicity, as it does not require a complex water treatment system, making it suitable for areas with limited water resources or special environmental requirements, such as construction sites in the wilderness or large outdoor event venues. Additionally, the use of biodegradable plastic bags aligns with environmental protection principles, reducing pollution to a certain extent.

Microbial Decomposition Method

The feces treatment in microbial mobile toilets is more advanced and environmentally friendly. Excrement first enters a solid-liquid separation device through an automatically opening toilet bowl. In this device, feces are separated and then directed into a fermentation tank. Inside the fermentation tank, a screw conveyor continuously rotates, thoroughly mixing the initial ingredients, sawdust, biological strains, and feces. The biological strains play a crucial role; under the action of microbial bacteria, the organic matter in the feces gradually decomposes. The final products of decomposition are separated in the form of carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O), with a degradation rate of ≥99%. This method not only efficiently treats feces, reducing the production of solid waste, but also does not generate unpleasant odors or harmful substances, having minimal impact on the surrounding environment. Moreover, it aligns with the concept of sustainable development, making it an ideal method for treating feces in dry mobile toilets.
