Dongchang Mobile Toilet Installation

Admin September 23, 2026

The installation of mobile toilets in Dongchang District should follow a standardized process, covering project planning, construction preparation, main body installation, and functional debugging. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Project Overview and Type Selection

Dongchang District plans to build five new mobile public toilets in high-traffic core areas, divided into two types:

  1. Standard Toilets (3 units): Each covers an area of 20 square meters and is equipped with three squatting positions for men, four for women, a management room, and a hand-washing area to meet daily usage needs.
  2. Barrier-Free Toilets (2 units): Each covers an area of 15 square meters and includes barrier-free toilet stalls, a nursing room, and an independent hand-washing area, complying with the barrier-free design requirements in the Design Standard for Urban Public Toilets (GB/T50157-2015) to ensure convenience for special groups.

II. Installation Process and Key Steps

  1. Positioning and Foundation Treatment

    • Determine the toilet locations based on site planning, prioritizing areas with solid ground and good drainage. If the ground is uneven or the soil is soft, hardening treatment (such as concrete pouring) or steel plate laying should be carried out in advance to ensure foundation stability.
    • Complete site surveys before construction and mark the positions of underground pipelines to avoid damage during construction.
  2. Main Structure Assembly

    • Chassis and Frame Placement: Use a forklift or manual labor to place the prefabricated steel structure chassis steadily and adjust it to a level state with a leveling instrument to prevent tilting during subsequent installation.
    • Wall and Roof Installation:
      • The walls are made of 50mm-thick graphite color-steel composite wall panels, which are inserted into the chassis slots and fixed with bolts or clips to ensure tightness.
      • The roof consists of a 50mm insulation board, a 10mm wood-based panel, an SBS felt waterproof layer, and asphalt shingles. After installation, sealing treatment is required to prevent rainwater leakage.
  3. Internal Facility Connection

    • Install water-saving squatting toilets, hand-washing basins, sensor faucets (with a water-saving rate of ≥30%), LED sensor energy-saving lights (with an illuminance of ≥200LUX), and silent exhaust fans (with an air exchange rate of ≥3 times per hour) to enhance user comfort.
    • The water and electricity pipelines adopt a modular quick-connector design to shorten connection time and reduce the risk of electric leakage.
  4. Functional Debugging

    • Conduct flushing tests, circuit checks, and tightness checks to ensure all facilities operate normally without water leakage or electric leakage.

III. Construction Preparation and Maintenance Requirements

  1. Construction Preparation: Complete detailed drawing development (such as foundation structure drawings and pipeline layout drawings), site leveling (with a slope of ≤2% and a compaction degree of ≥93%), and temporary facility construction (such as fences and distribution boxes) in advance.
  2. Maintenance Standards: Regularly check the tightness of bolts and seals and carry out cleaning and disinfection in accordance with the Hygiene Standard for Mobile Toilets (GB/T 21239-2023) to ensure hygiene standards are met.

The installation of mobile toilets in Dongchang District shortens the construction period through modular design (1-2 hours for split-type walls and 2-4 hours for overall installation) while strictly adhering to national standards and balancing efficiency and safety.
