Relocation of Dog Toilet
The dog toilet can be relocated, but scientific methods and relevant precautions should be adopted to prevent the dog from getting confused or having its excretion habits disrupted.

Relocation Methods
If you want to move the dog toilet, it is advisable to do so gradually. Move the pee pad or toilet slowly by 10 - 15 centimeters each day. This step-by-step approach allows the dog to adapt to the change in position without even realizing it. For example, on the first day, move the toilet a short distance towards the target location. On the second day, continue moving it the same or a similar distance, and so on until it reaches the final desired position. During the relocation process, promptly clean up the odor at the original location. You can use pet-specific deodorizers or cleaning agents containing biological enzymes. These products can effectively break down the odor molecules in the urine, preventing the dog from returning to the original location to excrete due to the residual odor. Since dogs mainly rely on odor to identify and locate excretion spots, removing the odor at the original location reduces their dependence on the old spot and makes it easier for them to accept the new one.
Precautions
Try to avoid frequently changing the position of the toilet. It takes time and a process for a dog to establish excretion habits. Once relatively stable habits are formed, frequent changes will disrupt the dog's established cognitive and behavioral patterns, causing the dog to experience anxiety, confusion, and even possibly excrete anywhere. For nervous dogs, be even more cautious when relocating the toilet. These dogs are usually more sensitive to environmental changes. Even if the toilet is just slightly off its original position, they may not be able to find it accurately, leading to excretion problems. Therefore, before relocating the toilet, fully understand your dog's personality traits. For nervous dogs, move the toilet shorter distances and at a slower pace, giving them enough time to adapt.
By following scientific and reasonable relocation methods and precautions, you can help the dog smoothly adapt to the change in the toilet's position, maintain good excretion habits, and ensure the dog's physical and mental health as well as a clean home environment.
