Dinghu Container House Maintenance

Admin September 13, 2026

Dinghu container house maintenance should cover electrical safety, structural upkeep, routine inspections, and more. Specific methods are as follows:

Electrical safety and circuit maintenance After leaving the house each time, you must shut off all power. Never use high-power or non-compliant appliances, to avoid circuit overload and safety hazards. Wiring must be installed properly—do not tie wires directly to the steel structure; install them through conduit or raceways for isolation to prevent leakage or short circuits. Regularly check whether wires are aging or damaged and whether outlets and switches work properly; replace them promptly if problems are found.

Structural and exterior maintenance Light steel structural members need regular paint maintenance—recommended once every 1-2 years—to keep appearance and extend steel life. After installation, users must not alter the structure on their own, such as removing bolts or adding/removing partition walls; contact the vendor if changes are needed. Regularly check whether steel connections are loose, whether door and window seals are sound, and whether the waterproofing layer is damaged; contact professionals for repairs promptly if issues are found. Regularly inspect the container exterior for rust or peeling paint; remove rust and repaint in time.

Waterproofing, moisture control, and cleaning Waterproof the roof, walls, and similar areas to prevent rain leakage. In humid conditions, open windows regularly for ventilation to keep interiors dry and prevent mold. Clean the container house inside and out regularly with mild cleaners; avoid corrosive chemicals that can damage surfaces.

Safety and usage guidelines Equip fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, and other fire-safety devices; take care against fire and theft. Avoid heavy impacts on the container body to prevent deformation. When unused for long periods, cover with canvas to reduce weathering. Indoor floor level must be at least 50 mm above outdoor grade; install outdoor drainage ditches properly. Floor load must not exceed the contract-specified value. Do not use open-flame stoves indoors; do not jump or run upstairs; open and close doors and windows gently. If a kitchen is installed, fit a range hood and keep the heat source ≥50 cm from walls. If a bathroom is installed, apply anti-corrosion and waterproofing measures.

Drainage system inspection Clean drain pipes regularly to keep them clear and prevent standing water that can rust and rot the container bottom. Non-professionals must not alter the building structure, to ensure safe use.
