Details of Making Container Houses
When making container houses, attention should be paid to details such as structural design, material selection, installation techniques, and functional customization:

I. Structural Design
The structural design of container houses should be determined based on the usage scenario. Welded integral containers are welded into shape as a whole in the factory, with a direct load path and strong resistance to deformation, making them suitable for scenarios requiring frequent lifting and movement, such as construction site dormitories and temporary office areas. Bolt-connected modular containers use standard panels connected by bolts, with multiple connection nodes in the load path. The tightness of each node directly affects the overall stability, making them suitable for scenarios with high flexibility requirements, such as commercial pop-up shops and event support buildings.
II. Material Selection
Material selection directly affects the durability and comfort of container houses. In terms of steel wall thickness, common specifications for columns and bottom beams range from 1.5 mm to 3 mm. Thicker walls provide greater load-bearing redundancy but also increase the self-weight. Regarding coating processes, hot-dip galvanizing offers a longer corrosion-resistant lifespan than cold-dip galvanizing, especially in areas with significant temperature variations between day and night and humidity changes, where the coating quality directly determines the rusting speed of the container body. For wall and roof panels, fire-resistant polyurethane sandwich panels or rock wool sandwich panels can be used, providing thermal insulation and fire resistance.
III. Installation Techniques
Installation techniques involve multiple technical steps and must be carried out strictly in accordance with regulations. In terms of ground preparation, it is necessary to remove loose soil and debris from the ground and compact the original soil layer. For containers intended for long-term fixed use, a concrete strip foundation should be poured, with a recommended width of 30 cm to 50 cm and a depth determined by the local frost depth. Regarding lifting and positioning, sufficient-capacity steel cables should be used, and it is essential to ensure that all lifting points are subjected to synchronous forces to avoid container distortion caused by unilateral forces. For waterproofing, glass curtain wall waterproofing adhesive must be used for the roof panels, offering waterproofing performance 5-6 times stronger than that of traditional adhesives.
IV. Functional Customization
Container houses can be customized according to actual needs. In terms of dimensions, the standard length ranges from 3 meters to 8 meters, the width is mostly 2.5 meters or 3 meters, and the height can be adjusted between 2.8 meters and 3.2 meters according to usage requirements. Regarding appearance, the exterior wall color, material, and roof form can all be customized according to the color swatches or design drawings provided by the customer. In terms of internal layout, the kitchen and bathroom can be compressed to one end of the container to form a wet area, using integrated bathroom technology for waterproof integration; the living and sleeping areas can achieve day-night functional switching through the variability of furniture.
