Detachable Assembled Container House

Admin September 15, 2026

A detachable assembled container house is a building form that disassembles a complete house into standardized modules, completes the construction process in a factory, and then transports it to the site for rapid assembly.

Construction Mode

  • Factory Prefabrication: The entire building is divided into individual housing modules. Most of the construction processes, including the main structure, water and electricity pipelines, bathroom waterproofing, bathroom fixtures, cabinets, wardrobes, and even interior soft furnishings, are completed inside the factory. For example, a structural modular smart factory in Guangdong disassembles a house into six components: the bottom, top, and four sides. These components are produced simultaneously on multiple sub-production lines and then assembled into a complete box at the end of the production line.
  • On-site Assembly: The prefabricated modules are transported to the project site and assembled like building blocks to form a complete building. For instance, the “Shenshan-made” modular houses, after arriving in Australia, are combined with supporting steel structure roof trusses and other scattered parts to form the overall shape. Only water and electricity connections are needed on-site, allowing for “move-in ready” accommodation within a few days of arrival, significantly reducing the construction period.

Advantages and Characteristics

  • High Construction Efficiency: The parallel operation mode allows multiple processes to proceed simultaneously, completely transforming the traditional construction site operation model. The first steel structure modular smart production line in China can produce up to 50 modules per day, with a production capacity ten times that of similar factories in North America.
  • Guaranteed Quality: The manufacturing precision is stably controlled within 1 to 2 millimeters, and production on a factory assembly line makes quality easier to control.
  • Reusability: These steel structure modular houses feature a steel frame paired with flame-retardant rock wool sandwich panels as the main structure, integrating insulation, fire protection, sound insulation, and waterproofing. They can also be repeatedly disassembled and relocated. Under proper use and regular maintenance, the average number of disassembly and reuse times for leading compliant products can reach more than 8 times, reducing construction waste emissions by approximately 90% compared to traditional fixed temporary buildings.

Application Scenarios

They are widely used in scenarios such as engineering camps, cultural tourism, and emergency response. In emergency support scenarios, foldable containers are a popular choice due to their portability and low cost. In scenarios such as short-term turnover for engineering construction and temporary commercial pop-ups, their deployment efficiency directly affects project start-up speed.
