G.E.M. Deng Ziqi's Mobile Toilet

The following is information about mobile toilets at G.E.M. Deng Ziqi's concerts:

Complaints from the audience about the placement of mobile toilets

During G.E.M. Deng Ziqi's world tour concert in Taizhou on July 20 and 21, 2024, the organizers placed mobile toilets near the seats in the inner field close to the stands, an arrangement that drew complaints from the audience. Due to the hot weather, the mix of sweat and toilet odors severely troubled the audience during the concert, greatly affecting their viewing experience. Staff from the Safety and Environmental Protection Department of the Taizhou Sports Center Stadium explained that audience members in the stands could use the fixed toilets inside the venue, but it was inconvenient for those in the inner field to access the fixed toilets. Moreover, it is common practice to equip concerts with mobile toilets, and mobile toilets for other events are mostly placed in the inner field. However, the rental and specific placement of mobile toilets are arranged and decided by the organizers, and the stadium does not participate in the placement and management of mobile toilets.

G.E.M. Deng Ziqi's use of a "mobile toilet"

In one of G.E.M. Deng Ziqi's concerts, a rather special situation occurred. Before the start of the concert, she felt the urge to urinate due to nervousness. However, due to time constraints, she couldn't go to a distant toilet. During the intermission, her agent used a trash can lined with a plastic bag as a "mobile toilet" for her. Although this situation is different from the conventional concept of a mobile toilet, it also reflects that in large-scale events like concerts, toilet-related issues can arise in various forms. Both the audience and the artist themselves may be affected by the convenience and availability of toilets.
