Mobile Toilets in Dehua County
Dehua County has made certain progress in the construction of mobile toilets and plans to further optimize the layout of public toilets.

I. Current Setup of Mobile Toilets
The Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau of Dehua County has installed one mobile public toilet beside Cidu Avenue (behind Chenghuang Ceramics Factory). This facility primarily serves citizens who take leisurely walks along the river, addressing the toilet needs in specific areas through flexible site selection. Mobile public toilets are characterized by their mobility and rapid deployment, allowing for temporary relocation based on pedestrian flow distribution or event demands. For example, additional toilets can be installed during holidays or large-scale events to effectively alleviate public toilet pressure in localized areas.
II. Functional Characteristics of Mobile Toilets
These mobile public toilets typically adopt a modular design, equipped with basic functions such as independent squatting positions, handwashing basins, and ventilation systems. Some high-end models also integrate technologies like deodorization, water conservation, and intelligent monitoring. For instance, sensors are used to monitor usage frequency and hygiene conditions in real-time, facilitating timely cleaning and maintenance by management personnel. Biodegradation technology is employed to treat waste, reducing reliance on traditional sewage systems and making them suitable for areas lacking municipal sewage networks.
III. Future Plans and Optimization Directions
Dehua County plans to continue promoting the construction of smart public toilet facilities, integrating Internet of Things (IoT) technology to enable functions such as toilet location, usage status inquiries, and environmental monitoring, thereby enhancing the user experience for citizens. Simultaneously, to address shortcomings in public toilet layouts on certain road sections, the county will fill gaps by adding mobile public toilets or renovating existing facilities, ensuring that public toilet coverage density meets national standards (e.g., 3-5 toilets per square kilometer in urban centers). Additionally, the siting of mobile public toilets will place greater emphasis on harmony with the surrounding environment, such as selecting locations beside green belts or in concealed areas to minimize impacts on the urban landscape.
IV. Social Significance of Mobile Toilets
The promotion of mobile public toilets not only resolves the issue of citizens' difficulty in finding toilets but also reflects the refined level of urban management. Their flexibility makes them important facilities for emergency support, enabling the rapid restoration of public services during natural disasters or municipal construction projects. Moreover, through smart renovations, mobile public toilets can serve as nodes for urban data collection, providing references for traffic planning, pedestrian flow analysis, and contributing to the construction of smart cities.
