Dayingzhen Mobile Toilet

Admin September 23, 2026

The situation regarding mobile toilets in Dayingzhen involves the construction of resource-recycling ecological public toilets, rather than traditional mobile toilets. Here is a detailed introduction:

Construction Background and Project Initiation

In 2023, Xinghua City took the lead in launching a pilot project for village domestic sewage treatment in Dayingzhen, actively exploring innovative models. It included the "resource-recycling ecological public toilets" as part of the rural domestic sewage treatment project, and officially initiated implementation at the end of 2024. This initiative aims to improve the rural sanitation environment, enhance the quality of life for rural residents, and explore a new path that combines sewage treatment with resource utilization suitable for rural areas.

Construction Scale and Quantity

Four villages in Dayingzhen have taken the lead in carrying out the construction of resource-recycling ecological public toilets, with a total of 17 such toilets being initiated for construction. These toilets are distributed across different villages, providing relatively extensive coverage of rural areas and meeting the toilet needs of local residents, offering a more convenient and sanitary toilet environment for rural residents.

Toilet Specifications and Cost

Each resource-recycling ecological public toilet has fixed dimensions, measuring 7.2 meters in length and 4.5 meters in width, with a construction area of 32.4 square meters. This scale design takes into account both the functionality of the toilets, enabling them to meet the simultaneous usage needs of a certain number of residents, and the rational utilization of rural land resources. In terms of cost, each toilet costs approximately 78,000 yuan. This cost level is determined after comprehensive consideration of various factors such as construction materials, construction techniques, and equipment configuration, aiming to ensure the construction quality and functionality of the toilets while reasonably controlling construction costs, making the project highly cost-effective and sustainable.

Significance of the Model

The resource-recycling ecological public toilet model differs from traditional public toilets in that it emphasizes the resource utilization of domestic sewage. Through specific treatment processes, the domestic sewage generated by the toilets is purified to meet certain water quality standards, which can then be used for farmland irrigation, landscaping, etc., achieving the recycling of water resources and reducing environmental pollution, aligning with the concept of sustainable rural development.
