Smart Public Toilet Pilot Projects: Comprehensive Coverage of Smart Features
The Dadukou District Urban Management Bureau selected the Huashitan public toilet along Binjiang Road as the first pilot for intelligent renovation, integrating multiple advanced technologies to enhance the user experience. An electronic display screen is installed outside the toilet, providing real-time updates on the availability of male and female toilet stalls to avoid waiting in line. It also shows environmental data such as indoor temperature, humidity, odor level, and PM2.5 concentration, helping managers adjust ventilation equipment promptly. A QR code is placed in the bottom-right corner of the screen, allowing users to scan and check the locations and number of nearby public toilets for quick access to alternative facilities. Inside the toilet, smart sensors are installed above each stall door to detect occupancy status and sync it with the external display screen. Environmental monitoring terminals on the walls continuously collect air quality data to ensure comfort. Additionally, smart devices support 'face-scan' paper dispensing, reducing paper waste and avoiding hygiene risks associated with contact-based operations.
Worker Haven Service Upgrades: 24-Hour Access and Smart Management
To optimize public services, Dadukou selected eight worker havens, including Shuangshan Love Park and Xinbaolong, for intelligent renovation, enabling 24-hour access through the installation of smart sensing devices. Workers can enter by scanning a code, and the devices automatically record usage data and upload it to the management platform. This model not only extends service hours but also provides a basis for future promotion through data statistics. After renovation, the eight havens recorded 2,000 monthly visits, significantly improving rest convenience for groups such as sanitation workers and food delivery personnel.
Mobile Toilet Procurement: Emphasis on Environmental Protection and Functionality
In 2024, Dadukou procured two four-stall vacuum environmental mobile toilets, with Chongqing Yuanyuexin Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. as the winning supplier at a bid amount of 684,800 yuan. These toilets use vacuum suction technology for significant water savings and are equipped with branded devices, including an environmental protection system from Chongqing Yuanyuexin, a sewage treatment module from Sichuan Zhongneng Environmental Protection, sanitary ware from Fujian Huihuang Kitchen & Bath, and temperature control devices from Jiangxi Dongcheng Air Conditioning, ensuring functionality and durability. This procurement marks a significant step forward for Dadukou in the environmental and standardized development of mobile toilets.
