Customized Two-Story Container House

Admin September 17, 2026

Container houses can be customized with two stories. The following is an introduction from three aspects: design cases, structural features, and application scenarios.

In terms of design cases, there are various customized examples of two-story container houses. For instance, a customer customized a twelve-meter-long warehouse, which is two and a half meters wide and twelve meters long, featuring an upper and lower two-story design. The first floor has a ceiling height of two and a half meters, and the bottom frame is made of 140 national standard steel, ensuring structural stability. At the same time, three coffee-colored vacuum windows are installed on the first floor, which are both aesthetically pleasing and meet ventilation and lighting requirements. With this design, the first floor can be used for storing goods or as a rice storage room, while the second floor can be used for office purposes, achieving a reasonable division and efficient utilization of space functions. In addition, some people have built movable double-story container villas and double-story container houses, which fully demonstrate the feasibility and diversity of customizing two-story container houses.

Regarding structural features, the structural design of two-story container houses must fully consider load-bearing capacity and stability. Taking the aforementioned twelve-meter-long warehouse as an example, it uses 140 national standard steel as the bottom frame. This type of steel has high strength and toughness, enabling it to bear the load of the second-story structure and upper parts, ensuring the overall safety and reliability of the house. Meanwhile, a reasonable ceiling height design, such as the two and a half-meter ceiling height on the first floor, provides convenience for the use of interior space and facilitates interior decoration and layout.

In terms of application scenarios, two-story container houses have a wide range of application scenarios. Due to their ability to utilize space in different stories, the first floor can be used for activities with relatively low height requirements such as warehousing and production, while the second floor can be used for activities with higher environmental requirements such as office work and living. For example, movable double-story container villas are suitable as temporary accommodation in scenarios such as tourism vacations and wilderness explorations; while double-story container houses can be used for various purposes such as construction site dormitories and commercial shops, meeting the usage needs of different customers in different scenarios.
