Usage Guide for Courtyard Mobile Toilets
Admin October 11, 2026
The usage method for courtyard mobile toilets should be selected based on their type, as detailed below:

I. Conventional Mobile Toilets (Toilet Bowl/Squat Toilet)
Entry and Privacy Protection
- Observe the sign on the door, confirm it indicates 'Vacant', then gently push the door open and enter, closing and locking the door behind you to prevent others from entering accidentally.
- If it is a tent-style or simple structure, check that the curtains, zippers, etc., are fully closed to ensure privacy.
Using the Facilities
- Toilet Bowl Style:
- Before use, you can place a disposable toilet seat cover on the seat to reduce skin contact with contaminants.
- After excretion, operate according to the flushing method:
- Foot-pedal type: Gently step on the pedal to complete flushing;
- Manual push-button type: Press the button on top of the water tank to flush;
- Portable movable toilet: If equipped with a black water tank, first fill it with clean water, flush using a specific device (such as a pull-out valve), and after use, press the buckle to remove the black water tank, empty the excreta and clean the tank.
- Squat Toilet Style:
- After excretion, flush using the flushing device on the side or back (such as a foot pedal or manual button).
- Toilet paper, wet wipes, etc., should be placed in the designated trash bin to avoid clogging the pipes by throwing them into the toilet.
- Toilet Bowl Style:
Hand Washing and Cleaning
- After using the toilet, go to the sink and wash your hands with running water, using hand soap or detergent, rubbing for at least 20 seconds before drying.
- If there is no sink, you can use hand sanitizer to clean your hands, reducing the risk of cross-infection.
II. Outdoor Simple Mobile Toilets (Tent-style/Chemical Type)
Installation and Preparation
- Choose a flat, dry location at least 10 meters away from water sources to avoid water accumulation or environmental pollution during rainy use.
- Tent-style toilets need to have their supports firmly fixed to ensure structural stability; chemical-type toilets need to add degrading agents according to the instructions to accelerate the decomposition of excreta and reduce odors.
Toilet Operation
- Use the provided biodegradable collection bags or containers to collect excreta, avoiding direct contact with the ground.
- Chemical-type toilets need to regularly check the remaining amount of degrading agents and replenish them promptly if insufficient to ensure decomposition effectiveness.
Cleaning and Disposal
- Biodegradable bags: After use, tightly close the bag opening, bury it in the soil (recommended depth of over 30 centimeters) to avoid contaminating water sources or attracting insects.
- Chemical-type toilets: Seal the excreta in a dedicated container, take it away from the site and hand it over to a professional agency for disposal, and do not dispose of it randomly.
- General waste (such as tissue paper, empty agent bottles) should be packed and taken away to keep the environment clean.
Hygiene Protection
- It is recommended to clean your hands with hand sanitizer before and after use, avoid touching your mouth and nose directly with your hands.
- If the toilet has a strong odor, you can spray deodorizer or open the windows for ventilation (tent-style toilets need to pay attention to preventing mosquitoes).
Precautions:
- Regularly check the structural stability of the toilet (such as supports, connectors) and the functionality of the flushing device to ensure normal use.
- Avoid disposing of non-biodegradable items (such as plastic bags, glass bottles) in the toilet to prevent environmental pollution.
