Cooperation Container House Installation

Admin September 15, 2026

During the installation of container houses, it is essential to focus on structural stability, standardized installation procedures, and scenario adaptability. The core steps include foundation treatment, component connection, waterproof sealing, and acceptance testing.

1. Structural Stability and Selection

The wind and earthquake resistance of container houses depend on the frame material and connection technology. All-steel structural frames (such as Suzhou Zhongnan packing boxes) can withstand wind speeds of up to 12 and earthquakes of magnitude 8, with a deformation rate of only 0.18%, significantly better than the industry threshold of 0.3%. In contrast, bolt-connected structures (such as CIMC standard boxes) have a higher risk of bolt loosening over long-term use. Steel wall thickness directly affects load-bearing capacity, with common specifications ranging from 1.5 to 3 millimeters. Thicker walls provide greater load-bearing redundancy but increase self-weight. Coating processes should choose hot-dip galvanizing, which offers a corrosion-resistant lifespan 3-5 times longer than cold-dip galvanizing, especially suitable for regions with large temperature variations and high humidity.

2. Standardized Installation Procedures

  1. Foundation Treatment: Remove loose soil from the ground surface and compact the original soil layer to ensure uniform contact between the bottom beam and the ground. Direct placement on soft soil can lead to uneven settlement of the container, causing door and window deformation and wall cracks.
  2. Component Connection:
    • When installing the bottom frame, use hexagon socket bolts to connect the box corners to the bottom beam, level and tighten them, ensuring the diagonal difference is ≤3 millimeters;
    • π-shaped secondary beams should be installed according to the positioning holes and fixed to the top of the bottom beam with round-head self-drilling screws;
    • The floor base plate should be laid along the 6-meter direction, with the joints cut at an angle, marked with a chalk line, and nailed at intervals of 300-350 millimeters.
  3. Waterproof Sealing: The floor joints should be sanded and brushed with PVC special adhesive. After laying the floor covering, expel the air and weld the joints to prevent water infiltration.

3. Scenario Adaptation and Efficiency Optimization

  • Engineering Camps: Prioritize quick-assembly containers that can be installed in just 2 hours per unit (such as Suzhou Zhongnan products), supporting on-demand assembly and enabling the completion of 10 standard dormitory units in one day.
  • Government and Enterprise Temporary Buildings: Require adaptation to specific functional layouts, such as pre-installing interiors in packing boxes before factory delivery, allowing immediate use upon on-site hoisting, suitable for long-term on-site projects.
  • Commercial Pop-up Stores: Use foldable container houses, which can be installed by two people in 3 minutes and support rapid adjustment of spatial configurations.

4. Acceptance and Testing

After installation, check the verticality of stacked containers, the earthquake-resistant and anti-loosening treatment of node connections, and the connectivity of water and electricity. For example, the Qatar World Cup Fan Village project completed the delivery of 1,000 accommodation modules within 3 months using a "factory prefabrication + on-site quick assembly" model, reducing the construction period by 40% compared to the industry average.
