Cooling Measures for Container House Roofs
Admin September 16, 2026
Cooling measures for container house roofs can include setting up heat-dissipating coating layers, sunshades, wind-driven turbine fans, heat-absorbing pads, water-cooling systems, intelligent sprays, and reflective heat-insulating paints.

- Setting up heat-dissipating coating layers: Install a low-temperature heat-dissipating coating layer on the surface of the color-coated steel roof. Utilize the heat-dissipating properties of the coating to emit the heat absorbed by the roof and lower the roof temperature.
- Installing sunshades: Place high-density polyethylene sunshades beneath the surface of the color-coated steel roof. The sunshades can effectively block direct sunlight from hitting the roof, reducing the amount of heat absorbed by the roof and thus lowering the indoor temperature.
- Setting up wind-driven turbine fans: Symmetrically install two wind-driven turbine fans on the side walls. Utilize natural wind power to drive the rotation of the turbine fans, accelerate air circulation on the roof, carry away heat, and achieve a cooling effect.
- Using heat-absorbing pads: Place ammonium nitrate heat-absorbing pads based on variable solubility on the top of the house body and beneath the ceiling. Ammonium nitrate absorbs heat when it dissolves, and its solubility decreases with increasing temperature, allowing for repeated dissolution and precipitation to provide long-lasting passive cooling to the surrounding environment.
- Adopting water-cooling systems: For example, in water-cooled cooling containers, negative pressure fans drive airflow through a wet water curtain. Water evaporation absorbs heat, cooling the hot air. At the same time, the side panels of the container are coated with nano anti-radiation heat-insulating water-based paint to reflect most of the sunlight and reduce the natural heating effect of the container body.
- Intelligent spray cooling: On some construction sites, containers are transformed into rest areas and equipped with intelligent high-pressure dust-proof spray equipment. Fine water mist can lower the temperature of the construction site by 3℃ to 5℃ and automatically adjust the water spraying time to balance cooling and environmental protection.
- Applying reflective heat-insulating paint: Similar to applying 'freezing paint' on factory iron roofs, container roofs can also be coated with reflective heat-insulating paint. The nano-sized ceramic hollow microspheres contained within can block heat conduction, and the special infrared reflective resin can reflect a large amount of infrared heat back into the atmosphere, reducing heat absorption by the roof.
