What Are the Types of Conventional Mobile Toilets
Admin October 07, 2026
Conventional mobile toilets come in a variety of types, classified according to sewage treatment methods, materials, and mobility. Details are as follows:

Classified by sewage treatment methods:
- Flush-type mobile toilets: These are relatively common types, usually equipped with ceramic or stainless steel toilet bowls and water tank facilities. During use, they can maintain good sanitary conditions and have relatively stable water pressure. However, they require regular cleaning of the fecal sewage storage tank and continuous replenishment of water sources, with relatively high water consumption. They are suitable for places with high sanitary requirements and water supply.
- Mechanical packing (waterless packing) mobile toilets: These use special mechanical devices to compress and seal excrement, which is then stored in a dedicated collection box. Their advantage lies in the fact that they do not require external water pipes or sewage pipes, saving water and being environmentally friendly. However, the internal space is limited, and garbage bags need to be replaced in a timely manner. Regular inspection and maintenance of machine components are also required. They are suitable for areas with scarce water resources and high environmental protection requirements.
- Foam-blocking mobile toilets: These cover odors by squeezing foam, saving water and being environmentally friendly. These toilets are commonly found in scenic spots, where they can reduce water consumption while ensuring a certain level of sanitation, thus saving water costs for the scenic spots.
- Microbial degradation mobile toilets: These use microorganisms to degrade excrement and turn it into fertilizer. They are commonly found in ecological parks and other places, achieving the resource utilization of excrement and conforming to the concept of ecological environmental protection.
Classified by materials:
- Plastic toilets: These are lightweight and inexpensive, easy to install and dismantle, suitable for temporary use on construction sites, meeting the basic toilet needs of construction site personnel at a low cost.
- Color-steel toilets: These have good heat and sound insulation effects and a relatively beautiful appearance. They are commonly found in parks and streets, providing a relatively comfortable toilet environment for citizens and tourists.
- Fiberglass toilets: These are molded as a whole, with a sturdy structure and strong resistance to damage, suitable for disaster relief and emergency rescue scenarios, maintaining good performance in harsh environments.
- Tent-type toilets: These are easy to assemble and disassemble and can be quickly set up and removed according to needs, suitable for temporary events such as sports events and exhibitions.
Classified by mobility:
- Hoisting-type: These require the use of cranes for transportation and are suitable for fixed locations such as construction sites. Once installed, they do not need to be moved frequently over a long period.
- Trailer-type: These have wheels and can be pulled for movement, being convenient and fast. They are suitable for large-scale events such as music festivals and can be adjusted in a timely manner according to changes in the event venue.
