Convenient Portable Toilet Structure

Admin October 09, 2026

There are mainly two ways to construct convenient portable toilets, designed based on water storage tanks and water storage buckets respectively, as detailed below:

Construction Method Based on Water Storage Tanks

  1. Basic Frame Construction: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of the拖板 (trailer board) for easy mobility. Place the water storage tank on the trailer board and use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line at the top of the tank to form an open tank body. Stack two open-top water storage tanks upside down and secure the outer frame with self-tapping screws to enhance structural stability.
  2. Functional Area Setup: Cut a rectangular opening on the side of the water storage tank as the doorway. Drill a hole in the interior floor, insert an elbow to connect the water pipe, install the toilet, and secure it. Fix the water pipe at the wall clamps, install a faucet, connect a pipe cap below, and connect a water pipe to the pipe cap with an opening as the drain pipe outlet.
  3. Sanitary Facility Installation: After applying glass glue, secure a stainless steel basin as the sink, connect the toilet tank inlet pipe and shower hose, install the shower bracket and toilet seat. Install a showerhead made of water pipe to meet bathing needs.
  4. Door Fabrication and Installation: Fabricate the toilet door using wooden boards and hinges, and install a door handle to ensure privacy.

Construction Method Based on Water Storage Buckets

  1. Bucket Processing and Frame Construction: Use an angle grinder to split the water storage bucket in half. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board, and secure wooden strips and self-tapping screws to the upper side of the bucket to increase height, providing space for subsequent installation of other components.
  2. Door Frame and Wall Construction: Cut an opening on the side of the water storage bucket as the doorway. Install sponge strips on both sides of the doorway to form the door frame, and embed plastic soft boards to create elevated walls, enhancing the toilet's sealing and stability.
  3. Roof and Appearance Treatment: Place the upper half of the water storage bucket on top of the wooden strips to form the roof, and apply white waterproof paint to improve aesthetics and provide waterproofing.
  4. Internal Facility Installation: Fabricate a simple door using foam strips and discarded honeycomb wooden boards. Drill a hole in the bottom of the bucket to install a drain pipe as a floor drain. Drill holes on the side and bottom of a plastic bucket to connect direct fittings, and place the plastic bucket on the roof to form a small water storage device. Connect a water pipe-made bathroom heater, install a tee below the inlet pipe and connect it to the shower, place the toilet and install the tank, secure the toilet with glass glue, and connect the drain pipe to the sewage bucket. Connect a water pipe horizontally from the tee of the outlet pipe to the doorway as the sink inlet pipe, and install corresponding components at the connections.
