Container Single-Room House Design
The design of container single-room houses can refer to the concept of modular box-type houses, using the container as the basic unit to achieve a combination of functionality and comfort through standardized components and flexible layouts.

1. Structural Design
Container single-room houses are centered around standard containers, with special section steel welded into standard components. Containers are connected with bolts to ensure structural stability and easy installation. The typical dimensions of a single unit are: length 6055mm (interior clear dimension 5845mm), width 2990/2435mm (interior clear dimension 2780/2220mm), and height 2896mm (interior clear dimension 2500mm). Dimensions can be adjusted or multiple containers can be combined to expand space as needed.
2. Functional Layout
The design should balance practicality and flexibility, allowing for different functional spaces through container combinations:
- Basic Type: A single container is used independently, with internal divisions for a sleeping area, a simple office area, and a storage area, suitable for construction site dormitories or temporary offices.
- Expanded Type: Two containers are joined together, with one side serving as a bedroom and the other side featuring an independent bathroom or kitchen, meeting long-term living needs.
- Customized Type: Depending on the usage scenario (such as homestays or vacation homes), balconies, terraces, or observation windows can be added to enhance space utilization and living experience.
3. Material Selection
- Frame: Hot-dip galvanized section steel is used, offering strong corrosion resistance and suitability for long-term outdoor use.
- Thermal Insulation: The roof and floor use 100mm glass wool (optional), and the walls use 75mm rock wool color-steel composite panels (available in 50/100mm specifications), effectively isolating temperature and noise.
- Decorative Materials: The ceiling uses color-steel corrugated panels, and the floor uses 1.8mm thick rubber-plastic flooring (high-end designs can be replaced with wooden flooring); wall options include wall panels or rock wool color-steel composite panels, balancing fire resistance and aesthetics.
- Doors and Windows: Steel doors (dimensions 840*2035mm) and plastic-steel sliding windows ensure sealing and safety.
- Electrical and Piping: The roof is prefabricated with circuits, water supply is laid along the walls, and drainage is designed on the side of the walls, reducing on-site construction difficulty.
4. Decoration and Adaptability
Decoration styles can be diverse:
- Simple Style: Wall panels are installed, and switches and sockets are fully equipped, suitable for construction site dormitories or temporary housing.
- High-End Style: Additional ceiling, wooden flooring, and integrated bathroom designs are included, with reserved positions for air conditioning and hot water equipment. Most interior work is completed in the factory, shortening on-site construction time.
Through modular design and standardized components, container single-room houses can be quickly constructed and flexibly adjusted, meeting living needs in various scenarios.
