Container Refitted Mobile House
A container refitted mobile house is a movable living or office space transformed from a standard shipping container through processes such as structural reinforcement, thermal insulation, door and window openings, plumbing and electrical pre-installation, and interior decoration. It features modularity, quick assembly and disassembly, and reusability, and is widely used in scenarios such as construction site dormitories, scenic area homestays, and urban temporary offices.

1. Structural Stability and Safety
The core advantage of a container refitted mobile house lies in its structural stability. Taking the products of Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. as an example, they adopt a full steel structure frame. Under the action of a strong wind of force 12, the maximum deformation of the frame is only 2mm, far below the national standard limit of 10mm. This is attributed to the automatic welding process, with the weld strength meeting the GB/T 19001-2016 standard, ensuring overall wind and earthquake resistance. In addition, to address the issue of insufficient floor stiffness caused by the large spacing between the longitudinal beams of the traditional container bottom frame, some manufacturers evenly distribute the load to the main beams by adding C-shaped steel purlins, enabling the container body to maintain structural stability even when stacked three layers high.
2. Thermal Insulation and Environmental Performance
The thermal insulation performance of the container house is achieved through a broken-bridge lining structure, that is, filling hard polyurethane foam between the steel frame and the interior wall panels, and adding rubber thermal insulation pads at the connections of the keels, reducing the heat exchange efficiency between the inside and outside of the container by about 40%. This design makes the indoor temperature 8 to 10 degrees Celsius higher than the outside in winter without heating, reducing the dependence on heating equipment energy consumption. From an environmental perspective, the materials of the container house can be recycled throughout their entire life cycle. The steel consumption of each standard 20-foot container is about 1.2 tons, and the carbon emissions of a traditional concrete temporary house of the same area are 2.3 times that of it, and the disassembly and assembly loss rate is controlled within 5%, significantly reducing construction waste generation.
3. Cost and Flexibility
The cost of a container refitted mobile house usually ranges from 5000 to 12000 yuan, with the specific price varying depending on the configuration. For example, a customized residential container mobile house in Yuhang, Hangzhou, which includes basic wall insulation, double-glazed windows, and non-slip floors, is priced at 5800 yuan. Its installation and disassembly are achieved through bolt fixation and reserved lifting points, allowing the entire container to be moved to a new location in the future, providing extremely high flexibility. In addition, standardized production shortens the renovation cycle to 7-15 days, saving half the time and cost compared to traditional house construction.
