Container Panel House Eaves Edge Trim

Admin September 17, 2026

The scientific name for the eaves edge trim of container panel houses is eaves closure, which belongs to the roofing system part of the steel structure edge trim system. It is located at the end of the roof panel near the eaves and its main functions are to block the composite panel core material and facilitate concentrated drainage.

Material Aspect:
The eaves edge trim of container panel houses usually adopts the same metal material as the roof panel, commonly galvanized steel sheets or color-coated steel sheets. Galvanized steel sheets form a zinc layer on the surface of the steel sheet through a hot-dip galvanizing process, which can effectively prevent the steel from rusting, extend its service life, and are suitable for environments with high anti-corrosion requirements. Color-coated steel sheets are coated with one or more layers of organic coatings on the basis of galvanized steel sheets after surface pretreatment. They not only have anti-corrosion properties but also offer a wide range of color options to meet different architectural appearance requirements. In addition, in some special environments, stainless steel may also be used. It has better corrosion resistance and aesthetics, but its cost is relatively high.

Size Aspect:
The size of the eaves edge trim needs to be determined according to the specifications of the container panel and the design requirements of the roof. Generally, its width should be able to completely cover the edge of the roof panel near the eaves to effectively block the composite panel core material and prevent it from being exposed to wind and rain erosion. The length is customized according to the length of the container panel to ensure that it can be completely installed on the roof panel. In the height direction, the eaves edge trim needs to have a certain slope to facilitate concentrated drainage. Usually, this slope is determined according to the local rainfall and the overall design of the roof to ensure that rainwater can be smoothly drained away from the roof and avoid damage to the roof caused by water accumulation.

Installation Points:
When installing the eaves edge trim, it is necessary to first accurately place it at the position of the roof panel near the eaves and then fix it to the roof panel using special self-tapping screws or rivets. During the fixing process, ensure that there is a tight fit between the edge trim and the roof panel without any gaps to prevent rainwater leakage. At the same time, pay attention to the slope setting of the edge trim to ensure smooth drainage.
