Container Mobile House with Bed
The situation of container mobile houses with beds varies depending on their purpose and design, with some having issues such as narrow beds and cramped spaces. The following is an introduction from different scenarios:
Event Accommodation Scenario
The 2026 Nagoya Asian Games used containers as athlete dormitories, which sparked dissatisfaction among many countries. Each unit consists of two households, with each household planned as a two-bedroom, one-living-room layout, providing accommodation for three people. The beds in the rooms are single beds, measuring 195 centimeters in length and 90 centimeters in width. For basketball players over two meters tall, a 195-centimeter-long bed cannot meet their needs; when lying on the bed, their ankles will hang off the end. A 90-centimeter-wide bed is even narrower than those in university dormitories; when a normal adult male lies flat, his elbows will touch the bedside if they extend slightly outward. Moreover, the space between the two beds in a double-bed room is only wide enough for one person to stand, making the space very narrow. One has to walk sideways from the head of the bed to the foot, and there is not even enough space to squat down and open a suitcase. The height of the container house itself is also a drawback. The internal height of a standard container is generally about two meters and forty centimeters. After installing the ceiling and floor, the net height may be only about two meters and ten centimeters. A volleyball player who is one meter and ninety centimeters tall will touch the ceiling when standing inside, making the overall space feel cramped and oppressive.
Commercial Sales Scenario
On commercial platforms like 1688, there are various container mobile houses for sale. The specifications and configurations of container mobile houses produced by different manufacturers vary, and some products come with beds. For example, the light steel container house, simple box-type mobile panel house from Suzhou Gansu Integrated Housing Technology Co., Ltd. is priced at 950 yuan; the camp space capsule hotel villa Apple cabin house, simple box-type movable house, outdoor light steel mobile house from Guangdong Changting Integrated Housing Co., Ltd. is priced at 70 yuan, but the bed sizes and other information are not detailed in these product descriptions. There are also container mobile house rental services, such as the container mobile house in Tongzhou District, Beijing, which is equipped with bunk beds and air conditioners and is priced at 8000 yuan.
