Container Mobile House Typhoon
Admin September 15, 2026
The protective measures for container mobile houses during typhoons mainly include site preparation, stacking reinforcement, transportation reinforcement, and safety management.

Site Preparation
- Site Leveling and Hardening: The storage site should be level and firm, with concrete hardening treatment and a thickness of no less than 15 cm to ensure no water accumulation or deformation during typhoon weather.
- Drainage System Construction: Set up drainage ditches around the site, with width and depth meeting drainage requirements to ensure timely drainage of rainwater.
- Windbreak Barrier Setup: Set up windbreak walls or windbreak forests around the site, with height and strength determined according to the local typhoon level to reduce the impact of typhoons on containers.
Stacking Reinforcement
- Stacking Method: Containers should be stacked neatly, with a height not exceeding 4 layers. Anti-slip pads should be placed between layers to prevent sliding.
- Horizontal Reinforcement: Use lashing rods or steel wires to horizontally connect containers on the same layer, passing through corner fittings and locking them with shackles. At least 2 reinforcements should be set up for each row.
- Vertical Reinforcement: Use twist locks to connect containers between upper and lower layers, with installation required at each corner fitting to ensure a firm connection.
- End Reinforcement: Set up anti-collision columns or sandbags at the ends of the stack to prevent containers from collapsing due to typhoon impact.
Transportation Reinforcement
- Vehicle and Container Inspection: Before transportation, check the vehicle performance and container integrity to ensure no damage or deformation.
- Cargo Loading: Distribute cargo evenly within the container to avoid center-of-gravity shift. Cargo with a high center of gravity requires additional fixation.
- Wind Protection Measures: When a typhoon warning is issued during transportation, the vehicle should stop in a safe area and provide additional reinforcement to the container.
Safety Management
- Daily Inspection: Regularly inspect containers and reinforcement equipment, focusing on checking whether twist locks, lashing rods, etc., are loose or damaged.
- Typhoon Warning Response: Stop operations upon receiving a warning, comprehensively reinforce containers, and transfer valuable items to a safe area.
- Emergency Supplies Preparation: Prepare emergency supplies such as flashlights, raincoats, and first-aid kits on site to cope with emergencies.
