Container Mobile House Tutorial

Admin September 15, 2026

The production and installation of container mobile houses need to combine structural stability, functional practicality, and safety. They are mainly divided into two types: fixed and foldable, with the following specific steps:

I. Production Process of Fixed Container Mobile Houses

  1. Steel Frame Welding
Taking a 3m×6m specification as an example, the chassis is welded around with 140×50 channel steel. The crossbeams use 4×8×2.0 square steel with a spacing of 35 centimeters. The columns and roof ring beams are fully welded with 5×5×2.0 square steel to ensure overall structural strength. Key Point: The welding must be full and seamless to avoid deformation caused by stress concentration.

  2. Enclosure System Installation
The wall and roof panels are made of 50mm thick double-sided white purification panels. The windows are equipped with 930×1000 sliding windows, and the door is a specially made 930×2000 color steel plate door. The chassis is laid with 18mm building templates, with a load-bearing capacity of up to 200 kilograms per square meter. Note: The purification panels must be fixed with bolts to prevent detachment due to thermal expansion and contraction.

  3. Interior Decoration and Equipment Installation
High-grade floor leather is laid on the ground to improve waterproofing and aesthetics. The lighting fixtures are installed in the center, the switches are located beside the door, the sockets are 60 centimeters above the ground, and the air conditioning holes are opened on the opposite side of the door. Finally, install window security grilles and use glass curtain wall waterproof glue to seal the joints of the roof panels. The waterproof glue must be evenly applied with a thickness of no less than 2mm.

II. Installation Process of Foldable Container Mobile Houses

  1. Main Body Unfolding and Fixing
After checking the stability of the steel wire ropes, use a crane to lift the folded container body and unfold it smoothly. Place support rods in the middle of the container body to maintain stability. Push open the side walls (including doors and windows) one by one and fix them with fastening screws. Safety Tip: Non-staff members should stay away from the installation area to prevent falling objects from high altitudes.

  2. Positioning and Hoisting
Hoist the folded container house to the predetermined position and slowly lower it after confirming that there is no one around. It is necessary to plan the flatness of the foundation in advance to avoid tilting of the container body due to uneven ground.

III. Construction Optimization Suggestions

  1. Foundation Treatment: For long-term outdoor use scenarios, it is necessary to pre-bury drainage pipes, pour concrete piers at the bottom, and reinforce the corners with steel frames to improve wind and earthquake resistance.
  2. Modular Design: Choose upgraded container bodies with built-in doors, windows, and circuit预留 (reserved) ports. Only simple wiring and fixing are required on site, which can save more than 50% of labor costs.
  3. Anti-corrosion Treatment: Use anti-corrosion wood or sunscreen coatings for the exterior walls to extend the service life. The slope drainage design can avoid water accumulation problems.

Practical Application Case: A mobile sentry box project in Guangzhou adopted a modular design. Two workers completed the installation in half a day without the need for large machinery. It can be flexibly transformed into a temporary office or scenic spot service point in the future, with excellent sealing performance and a dry interior on rainy days.
