Container Mobile House Profiles

Admin September 15, 2026

Container mobile house profiles mainly consist of two core components: steel structural frames and enclosure panels.

Steel Structural Frames

The steel structural frame serves as the 'skeleton' of container mobile houses, playing a crucial role in supporting and transferring loads. There are two common structural types: welded integral boxes and bolt-connected assembled boxes.

  • Welded Integral Boxes: These are welded into shape as a whole in the factory, with a direct load path. The roof load is transferred through the side wall columns to the bottom sill, and then evenly distributed to the ground via the bottom sill. This structure offers strong resistance to deformation and is suitable for scenarios requiring frequent lifting and movement. The common thickness specifications for the steel range from 1.5mm to 3mm. A thicker wall provides greater load-bearing redundancy but also increases the self-weight.
  • Bolt-Connected Assembled Boxes: These use standard panels connected by bolts, with multiple connection nodes in the load path. The tightness of each node directly affects the overall stability. When purchasing, it is essential to check the thickness of the steel in the columns and bottom sill to ensure they meet the load-bearing requirements.

Enclosure Panels

Enclosure panels act as the 'outerwear' of container mobile houses, providing protection and thermal insulation. Common enclosure panels include color-coated steel sheets and rock wool sandwich panels.

  • Color-Coated Steel Sheets: These offer advantages such as light weight, high strength, and easy installation, but have relatively poor thermal insulation performance. They are widely used in temporary buildings with low thermal insulation requirements.
  • Rock Wool Sandwich Panels: These use rock wool as the core material, providing excellent thermal insulation, heat resistance, and fire resistance. For example, a combination of 0.8mm corrugated steel sheets and 100mm rock wool sandwich panels can meet the basic thermal insulation requirements in environments as cold as -30°C. In scenarios with high thermal insulation and fire resistance requirements, such as engineering camps in cold regions and emergency support facilities, rock wool sandwich panels are an ideal choice.

In addition, some manufacturers tailor improvements and optimizations to the profiles based on different usage scenarios and customer needs, such as adjusting the coating formulations on the inner and outer surfaces of the panels and adding stiffeners, to enhance the performance and adaptability of container mobile houses.
