Container Mobile House Leakage
Admin September 16, 2026
Leakage in container mobile houses can be caused by loose fasteners, unqualified waterproof materials, cracks around openings, and unreasonable gutter design, among other reasons. It can be addressed through measures such as selecting qualified materials, standardizing construction, and regular maintenance.

Common Causes
- Fastener Issues: During installation and use, stepping on the roof of the container house can cause the fasteners to loosen. Additionally, when the waterproof gaskets of the fasteners age, leakage can occur at the fastener locations. For example, in some container mobile houses that have been in use for a long time, leakage may occur due to fastener problems.
- Waterproof Material and Treatment Issues: During the construction of mobile houses, if unqualified waterproof materials are selected or the waterproof treatment is unreasonable, leakage is likely to occur as the container mobile house ages. For instance, if low-quality waterproof coatings are used, their waterproofing effect will be significantly reduced after a period of exposure to wind, sun, and rain.
- Crack Issues around Openings: When openings are made on the panels of mobile houses for the installation of various fans, exhaust pipes, etc., if the waterproof treatment of the surrounding cracks is not good, during use, due to external conditions, wind loads, snow loads, thermal expansion and contraction, etc., the panels of the mobile house will deform, and the cracks at the joints will expand, damaging the original waterproof treatment and causing leakage.
- Gutter Issues: If the gutter of the mobile house has no horizontal slope and the design of the gutter outlet is unreasonable, during heavy rain, the accumulated water in the gutter cannot be discharged and will flow back into the inner eaves of the gutter. During the construction of the mobile house, if the gutter corrosion protection is not in place, leading to gutter rust and erosion, or if debris blocks the outlet, leakage or water backflow can also occur.
Solutions
- Select Qualified Materials: During construction, choose qualified waterproof materials to ensure they have good waterproofing performance and durability.
- Standardize Construction Treatment: Carry out waterproof treatment strictly in accordance with construction specifications. For key parts such as around openings, do detailed waterproof work. At the same time, reasonably design the slope and outlet of the gutter and do a good job of gutter corrosion protection.
- Regular Inspection and Maintenance: Regularly inspect the container mobile house to promptly detect and deal with problems such as loose fasteners and aging waterproof gaskets. Promptly repair and carry out waterproof treatment on parts with cracks.
