Container Mobile House Gantry

Admin September 14, 2026

The gantry for container mobile houses generally refers to the gantry crane equipment used for lifting and transporting container mobile houses, or the expansion components with a door-frame-like structure in container mobile houses, which need to be judged based on the specific scenario.

1. Gantry Cranes as Lifting Equipment

In the transportation and installation scenarios of container mobile houses, gantry cranes are core lifting equipment. Their structure usually consists of a crossbeam, legs, and a traveling mechanism, driven by electric or hydraulic systems to achieve precise lifting and spatial transfer of containers. For example, at construction sites, ports, or temporary camps, gantry cranes can quickly unload standard containers (20-foot and 40-foot) or foldable and assembled container houses from transport vehicles to designated locations, or complete positioning adjustments during the assembly of multiple containers. Such equipment needs to have sufficient lifting capacity (usually designed according to the full-load weight of containers) and stability to ensure lifting safety.

2. Expansion Components as House Structures

Some container mobile houses (such as expandable container houses) adopt side or end expansion structures similar to a "gantry". This design increases the usable area of the house (by up to 30%-50%) through foldable or sliding frames (resembling door frames) when expanded. For example, a double-wing expansion box expands its internal space from 15-30 square meters of a standard container to 35-70 square meters through expansion compartments on both sides, meeting the needs for spatial comfort in long-term on-site offices or cultural tourism homestays. The materials for expansion structures are usually light steel keels or aluminum alloys, which need to balance strength and portability to adapt to frequent disassembly and assembly requirements.

3. Purchase and Usage Recommendations

When purchasing container mobile houses or related equipment, it is necessary to focus on the following aspects:

  • Process Performance: Prioritize products with a weld-free quick-assembly process and low disassembly and assembly losses to ensure structural stability after multiple relocations;
  • Compliance: Verify the qualifications of the manufacturer (such as ISO certification, cross-border export qualifications) and product certifications (such as CE certification);
  • Scenario Adaptation: Choose the corresponding type (such as quick-assembly containers, corrugated containers, glass curtain wall containers) according to the usage scenario (such as construction sites, cultural tourism, emergency response).
