Setting off Fireworks near Container Mobile Houses
Setting off fireworks inside or near container mobile houses poses significant safety hazards, and such activities are not recommended. The specific reasons are as follows:

High Fire Risk
The construction materials used in container mobile houses often involve the illegal use of flammable materials. Some temporary buildings on construction sites and illegal structures of certain enterprises use flammable core materials such as polystyrene and polyurethane foam to save costs. These materials have poor fire resistance and safety, and can be ignited by sparks from electrical welding or cigarette butts. When fireworks are set off, they generate open flames, high temperatures, and sparks, which can easily trigger fires upon contact with these flammable materials. For example, in 2020, two container-modified houses in the industrial park of Anci District, Langfang City, caught fire due to an electrical circuit fault at the switchboard that ignited surrounding weeds. If fireworks had been set off nearby, the sparks could have directly ignited the flammable materials of the houses.
Rapid Combustion and Difficult Control
Once flammable and combustible sandwich materials catch fire, they burn extremely fast. At 80℃, they melt, deform, and drip, with the drippings causing more severe combustion wherever they fall. Moreover, the combustion products are highly toxic. Fires caused by fireworks can spread rapidly in a short time, engulfing the entire container mobile house in flames and increasing the severity of the fire hazard.
Difficult Fire Extinguishment
After a fire breaks out, the flames spread rapidly, and container mobile houses are prone to collapse in a short time. The collapsed houses are wrapped in iron sheets, making it difficult for firefighting water cannons to shoot water inside. This greatly increases the difficulty of firefighting and rescue work, delays firefighting opportunities, and further expands the losses caused by the fire.
Difficulty in Personnel Escape
Both polystyrene and polyurethane emit thick black smoke when burning, causing toxic fumes to accumulate inside the room. This makes it difficult for trapped individuals to escape and increases the likelihood of casualties. Setting off fireworks inside or near container mobile houses, once a fire is triggered, poses great escape difficulties and life-threatening risks to the occupants of the houses.
