External Mud on Container Mobile Houses
Currently, there is no information on the conventional applications or standard practices for applying external mud to container mobile houses. The following analysis is based on possible scenarios.

Scenario 1: External Mud as Decoration or Camouflage
If external mud is used for decorative purposes, such as creating a natural and rustic appearance to better integrate the container mobile house into the surrounding natural environment, caution is required in operation. First, it is essential to ensure that the 'mud' material used does not cause corrosion to the metal shell of the container. Some natural mud may contain acidic or alkaline substances that, when attached to the metal surface for an extended period, can accelerate the oxidation and rusting process of the metal, thereby affecting the structural safety and service life of the container mobile house. Specialized, corrosion-resistant imitation mud materials can be chosen, which can achieve decorative effects while protecting the container shell.
Scenario 2: External Mud for Thermal Insulation
From the perspective of thermal insulation, external mud may be perceived to have some effect. However, in reality, the thermal insulation performance of ordinary mud is not ideal. If external materials are to be used to enhance the thermal insulation capabilities of container mobile houses, it is more advisable to use professional thermal insulation materials such as polystyrene boards and rock wool boards. These materials have good thermal resistance properties, effectively reducing heat transfer, minimizing the impact of indoor-outdoor temperature differences on indoor temperature, and improving living comfort. Moreover, professional thermal insulation materials are installed relatively standardizedly, with guaranteed quality, and are less likely to have issues such as detachment and cracking compared to external mud.
Scenario 3: Construction Issues with External Mud
If attempting to apply external mud, the construction process also faces numerous challenges. How to evenly and firmly attach the mud to the container surface is a difficult problem. The surface of containers is usually smooth, making it difficult for mud to adhere directly. Roughening the container surface may be necessary to increase friction. At the same time, during construction, the drying and shrinkage of the mud must be considered to avoid cracks and hollow areas, which would affect the overall aesthetics and usability. Additionally, after applying external mud, the weight of the house will increase, necessitating ensuring that the foundation of the container mobile house can bear the additional weight to guarantee the stability of the house.
