Energy Saving of Container Mobile Houses

Admin September 15, 2026

The energy-saving performance of container mobile houses is mainly reflected in four aspects: structural design, material application, energy system integration, and recycling:

1. Structural Optimization to Reduce Energy Consumption

Container houses adopt standardized steel structural frames, reducing material usage through optimized mechanical design. For example, adding C-shaped steel purlins between the bottom beams distributes the load, enabling the stacked three-layer box to maintain structural stability and avoiding material waste caused by excessive reinforcement. Meanwhile, the modular assembly method shortens the on-site construction period. In engineering camp scenarios, the construction period for 10 standard dormitory units of Suzhou Zhongnan products does not exceed 3 days, reducing mechanical energy consumption by about 40% compared to traditional buildings.

2. Application of High-Performance Thermal Insulation Materials

To address the thermal bridge effect of metal box walls, a broken-bridge lining structure is adopted: hard polyurethane foam is filled between the steel frame and the interior wall panels, and rubber thermal insulation pads are installed at the connections of the keels. According to the measured data from Baotou Xinxing Color Plate Steel Structure, such treatment reduces the heat exchange efficiency between the interior and exterior of the box by about 40%. In winter without heating, the indoor temperature can be 8-10℃ higher than the outside, significantly reducing the energy consumption of heating equipment. Some products also integrate vacuum insulation panels with a thermal conductivity as low as 0.004W/(m·K), improving the thermal insulation performance by 5-8 times compared to traditional materials.

3. Integration of Renewable Energy Systems

Photovoltaic integration design has become an important energy-saving means. The solar photovoltaic panel adjustment component disclosed in patent technology CN202423275222.2 can automatically adjust the inclination angle according to the solar altitude, improving the power generation efficiency by 25%-30% compared to fixed types. In the application of the Qinghai Photovoltaic Power Station project, the 8kW photovoltaic system configured for a 40-foot container house has an average daily power generation of 32kWh, meeting its own power demand while also feeding power back to the grid. The combined use of rainwater collection systems and gray water recycling devices reduces the average daily water consumption of a single box from 0.5m³ to 0.2m³, achieving a water self-sufficiency rate of 60%.

4. Full Life Cycle Recycling

Compliant products can be disassembled and reused an average of more than 8 times, reducing construction waste emissions by about 90% compared to traditional fixed temporary buildings. Suzhou Zhongnan Quick-Assembly Box adopts a welding-free quick-assembly process, controlling the disassembly loss rate within 5%, with the single-use cost being only one-third of that of a new product. The digital production base of Hebei Yitai Metal Products achieves "factory prefabrication + on-site quick assembly" through modular design, reducing construction and labor costs by more than 30% and improving energy utilization efficiency from the manufacturing end.
