Box Types of Container Mobile Houses
Admin September 17, 2026
Container mobile houses can be classified into three box types based on their structure: traditional container-modified box-type houses, brand-new welded box-type mobile houses, and detachable box-type mobile houses. Common specifications include 62.52.6, 632.6, 82.52.6, 832.6, 122.52.6, and 1232.6 (units: meters).

Structural Classification
- Traditional Container-Modified Box-Type Houses: This box type originated from the practice of converting old shipping containers into temporary housing. Originally used for cargo transportation, after completing their transportation duties, old containers can be transformed into livable mobile houses through certain modifications, such as installing doors and windows, interior decoration, and adding thermal insulation materials. This modification method is relatively cost-effective as it utilizes existing old container resources and has a short modification cycle, allowing for quick deployment. However, due to the structural and dimensional limitations of old containers, the internal space layout is relatively fixed, and the modified houses may have certain limitations in terms of living comfort and functionality.
- Brand-New Welded Box-Type Mobile Houses: They belong to a structural type of box-type houses. Unlike traditional container modifications, brand-new welded box-type mobile houses are made using brand-new materials through welding processes. This manufacturing method allows for flexible design of the house's structure and dimensions according to actual needs, without being restricted by old containers. Their structure is more robust, capable of withstanding significant external forces, making them suitable for use in various complex environmental conditions. Additionally, they offer greater flexibility in interior decoration and functional configuration, meeting the diverse needs of different users regarding living quality and functionality.
- Detachable Box-Type Mobile Houses: Also a type of box-type house classified by structure. Their greatest feature is ease of disassembly and assembly. The various components of these mobile houses are designed in a standardized manner and assembled using connecting elements such as bolts. When relocation or reconfiguration is required, the house can be conveniently disassembled into individual components, transported to a new location, and then reassembled. This characteristic gives detachable box-type mobile houses high flexibility and mobility, making them particularly suitable for construction projects and temporary event venues that require frequent relocation.
