Air Conditioner Rack for Container Mobile Houses

Admin September 16, 2026

The selection of air conditioner racks for container mobile houses requires comprehensive consideration of factors such as air conditioner type, installation method, and bracket material.

I. Compatibility of Air Conditioner Types and Installation Methods The choice of air conditioner for container mobile houses should be based on the usage scenario to determine the type and then match the air conditioner rack.

  1. Portable Air Conditioners: These do not require an outdoor unit. They have an all-in-one design with wheels at the bottom and can be directly placed inside the container without the need for an additional air conditioner rack. Their advantage lies in no need for drilling holes and being plug-and-play, suitable for scenarios with frequent relocations.
  2. Window-type/Window-frame Split Air Conditioners: Designed for easy installation, they can be directly mounted on window frames without the need for drilling holes in the wall or vacuum treatment. These air conditioners require a window-frame fixing bracket to ensure stability and are suitable for short-term use or temporary spaces.
  3. Traditional Split Air Conditioners (Wall-mounted/Floor-standing): These require professional installation of the outdoor unit, usually involving welding or drilling holes to fix the bracket. If used in container houses, a detachable bracket should be chosen for easy disassembly and reassembly during relocation, although the cost is relatively high, suitable for long-term fixed use.
  4. Container-specific Air Conditioners: Such as energy storage container air conditioners (e.g., the BattCool-AF series), developed specifically for container environments, available in built-in and external types. Built-in types require floor installation, while external types require wall-mounting or bracket fixing. The appropriate supporting bracket should be chosen according to the product instructions.

II. Material and Design of Air Conditioner Racks The material of the air conditioner rack directly affects its load-bearing capacity and durability and should be selected based on the weight of the air conditioner outdoor unit and the environment:

  1. Stainless Steel Brackets: Highly corrosion-resistant and with high load-bearing capacity (e.g., a 304 stainless steel bracket can support 1.5-3P outdoor units), suitable for humid or coastal environments, but relatively expensive.
  2. Galvanized Iron Brackets: Lower cost but require rust prevention treatment, suitable for dry environments, and require regular inspection of stability.
  3. Universal Triangular Brackets: Suitable for most split air conditioner outdoor units, and the model should be selected according to the size of the outdoor unit (e.g., the bracket size for a 1.5P outdoor unit should be slightly larger than the bottom area of the outdoor unit).

III. Installation Precautions

  1. Load-bearing Matching: The load-bearing capacity of the bracket should be greater than the weight of the air conditioner outdoor unit (e.g., a reinforced bracket should be chosen for a 5-horsepower air conditioner).
  2. Shock Absorption Design: Containers may vibrate during movement, so a bracket with shock-absorbing rubber pads should be chosen or additional reinforcement should be provided.
  3. Compliance: Ensure that the installation of the bracket complies with building safety regulations to avoid the risk of tilting or falling off.
