Container Mobile Floating House
The container mobile floating house is an innovative architectural form that disassembles the house into standardized container modules, prefabricates them in a factory, transports them to the destination for rapid assembly, and some types can achieve floating functionality.

Construction Mode: Adopting the modular construction concept, the entire building is divided into independent housing modules. All processes, including the main structure, water and electricity pipelines, bathroom waterproofing, sanitary equipment, cabinets, and wardrobes, are completed inside the factory. The manufacturing precision is stably controlled within 1 to 2 millimeters. After that, they are transported to the project site and assembled like building blocks to form a complete building. For example, a structural modular intelligent factory in Guangdong can produce up to 50 modules per day, with a production capacity ten times that of similar factories in North America.
Transportation and Installation Advantages: Shipped by sea in container form, they can travel across oceans to destinations worldwide. Compared to traditional construction, the construction period is significantly shortened. For instance, a Chinese-made modular elderly care apartment purchased by a British merchant took only two weeks from shipment to completion of on-site hoisting and construction; the overall delivery cycle of the MRDC modular hotel project by China Construction Science and Industry Corporation in Papua New Guinea was shortened from 14 to 18 months in traditional construction to about 7 months.
Cost and Resource Savings: Significant savings in labor and materials are evident. Skilled construction workers in Europe and the United States have high hourly wages, with labor accounting for up to 40% of the total project cost, while modular construction sites have fewer permanent personnel; the steel waste from standardized CNC cutting in factories is low, while traditional construction sites have higher building material waste; lightweight steel structural modules can also significantly reduce the consumption of foundation materials.
Wide Range of Application Scenarios: They can be used as mobile homes, elderly care apartments, hotels, data centers, etc., and also for tourist resorts, commercial streets, and bed-and-breakfasts. Some specially designed container mobile houses have floating capabilities and can move positions according to environmental changes. For example, modular houses in Nordic forests migrate with the seasons, and architects transform containers into cozy villas to enjoy different sceneries.
