Container-like Landscape Houses

Admin September 17, 2026

Container-like landscape houses come in a variety of unique types and designs.

Quartz Cabin in Cornwall, UK: This house features a bold blue exterior that is highly recognizable, with exposed corrugated steel being one of its prominent characteristics. This design not only showcases the rugged texture of industrial style but also gives the building a unique visual effect. The extensive use of glass doors and windows is a major highlight, allowing ample natural light to enter the interior without obstruction, making the entire space bright and transparent. The main living area is directly connected to the beautiful outdoor garden, breaking down the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, enabling residents to better connect with nature and enjoy its beauty. Additionally, the house is equipped with a dining area and a hot tub, providing residents with a comfortable and convenient living experience.

Container Hotel (Křešice) in the Czech Republic: It is cleverly composed of containers of different sizes to form multi-level spaces, adding a sense of hierarchy and three-dimensionality to the building. The use of glass walls makes the rooms visually more spacious and open, allowing natural light to fully enter and creating a bright and pleasant living environment. The exterior features exposed container walls and spruce wood decorations, combining industrial elements with natural materials to form a unique style. Inside, birch plywood and custom-made furniture are selected, not only enhancing the quality of the space but also reflecting environmental protection concepts. The hotel also has its own built-in water tank and waterless toilets, further highlighting its environmental protection features.

Klein-Hangklip Eco-Cabin in South Africa: It is located on a rocky outcrop overlooking False Bay, on the outskirts of the coastal town of Rooi-Els. Its geographical location is unique, combining seclusion, beautiful scenery, and style. This design, which perfectly integrates with the natural environment, allows residents to enjoy private space while appreciating the magnificent sea view and feeling the charm of nature.

Landscape House Made of Three Containers: Its design is like carefully arranged steel building blocks, with two standard containers stacked on top of each other, one side cantilevered, and a custom-made widened container lying underneath as the main body of the first floor. The design filled with large observation windows allows the indoor and outdoor landscapes to blend together. The 138-square-meter indoor living area is accompanied by an equally sized outdoor space, providing residents with a vast area for activities. The flat roof is transformed into a terrace, and a shaded corridor is formed under the cantilevered container, adding functionality and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the building.
