Materials of Container Integrated Houses

Admin September 15, 2026

The main materials of container integrated houses include steel structural frames, color-coated steel sheets, corrugated sheets, sandwich panels, and checkered aluminum sheets, etc..

Steel structural frames are the core structural materials of container integrated houses, featuring high strength and good corrosion resistance. For example, the packing-box units and quick-assembly container series from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. all adopt full steel structural frames. This structure performs excellently under extreme working conditions, capable of withstanding typhoons of force 12 and earthquakes of magnitude 8, with extremely low frame deformation rates, far below the industry's qualified threshold. Steel structural frames not only provide stable support but also endow container houses with good mobility and reusability.

Color-coated steel sheets and corrugated sheets are commonly used wall and roof materials for container integrated houses. Color-coated steel sheets are lightweight, high-strength, corrosion-resistant, sound-insulating, and heat-insulating, widely applied in various temporary buildings and mobile homes. Corrugated sheets, with their unique corrugated shape, enhance structural strength and stability while providing good waterproof performance. For instance, the container houses from the Xi'an Jimei brand adopt a combination of steel structures and corrugated sheets, which are both sturdy and aesthetically pleasing.

Sandwich panels are also commonly used materials in prefabricated panel houses. They consist of two layers of metal panels and an intermediate thermal insulation material, offering good thermal insulation, corrosion resistance, sound insulation, and lightweight fire-retardant properties. Although sandwich panels are relatively less used in container houses, they remain a good choice for occasions requiring high thermal insulation.

Checkered aluminum sheets are often used for the floors of containers and integrated houses. They have good non-slip properties and corrosion resistance, ensuring the safety of personnel walking inside container houses. Additionally, checkered aluminum sheets are easy to clean and maintain, extending the service life of container houses.
