Container Insulated House

Admin September 16, 2026

The key to container insulated houses lies in the rational selection of insulation materials, optimization of structural design, enhancement of airtightness, and the provision of necessary heating facilities.

Selection of Insulation Materials: The insulation performance of container houses largely depends on the insulation materials used. Common insulation materials include EPS (expanded polystyrene) boards, rock wool boards, and polyurethane boards. These materials have low thermal conductivity and can effectively prevent heat loss. Exterior wall insulation typically employs these materials to form an insulation layer, reducing heat exchange between the interior and exterior. Interior wall insulation can adopt closed insulation methods, such as using rock wool, expanded perlite boards, or applying spray insulation with materials like plaster, clay walls, or wooden boards to further enhance insulation effects.

Optimization of Structural Design: The structural design of container houses also significantly impacts insulation performance. Designing insulation structures at connection points and corners, isolating the installation positions of doors and windows, and filling gaps can effectively reduce indoor temperature loss. Methods such as multi-container assembly, vertical stacking, and horizontal combination not only expand living space but also increase wall thickness, improving overall insulation performance.

Enhancement of Airtightness: Airtightness is crucial for the insulation of container houses. Ensuring that windows and doors are well-sealed can effectively prevent cold air from entering the interior. Using double or triple-glazed windows and adding sealing strips around windows and doors can significantly enhance insulation effects. Additionally, attention should be paid to the splicing of insulation materials, the treatment of connection points, and the integration of the insulation layer with the container structure to prevent heat leakage.

Provision of Heating Facilities: In cold regions, container houses also need to be equipped with necessary heating facilities, such as electric heaters and air conditioners, to raise indoor temperatures. Selecting energy-efficient heating equipment and conducting regular inspections and maintenance to ensure they are in good working condition can not only guarantee warmth but also save energy.
