Container House with Toilet

Admin September 15, 2026

Container houses can be equipped with toilets, and there are various types and configuration methods.

Common Types of Container Houses with Toilets

  • Integrated Type: Some container houses incorporate the toilet into the overall structure during the design phase, serving as a fixed functional area. For example, the container-style dormitories used in the Nagoya Asian Games in Japan consisted of two households per unit, with each household planned as a two-bedroom, one-living-room space, featuring a toilet, a bathroom, and a changing room. The entire house was decorated with wood and equipped with facilities such as refrigerators, sinks, and washing machines.
  • Standalone Type: There are also cases where the toilet is designed as a separate container module, allowing for flexible combination and layout according to needs. For instance, some cross-border standalone toilet and bathroom container houses can be used as mobile homes or simple prefabricated integrated houses, and can be individually used as toilet modules and combined with other container houses.

Characteristics of Container Houses with Toilets

  • Space Utilization: The internal space is reasonably planned to achieve the coexistence of the toilet and other functional areas within a limited area. For example, some small container houses, although compact in space, can still be cleverly designed to divide a toilet area to meet basic usage needs.
  • Facility Provision: The toilet is generally equipped with basic facilities such as a toilet (either a Western-style toilet or a squat toilet) and a sink, and some are also installed with shower facilities. Some high-end customized container house toilets also use higher-quality decoration materials and sanitary ware to enhance the user experience.

Applications in Different Scenarios

  • Construction Sites: Container toilets used at construction sites focus on practicality and convenience. They are mostly movable and reusable steel-framed structures with A-grade fire resistance, typhoon resistance, and earthquake resistance. They have a short manufacturing cycle, require no foundation, and can be quickly put into use to meet the basic toilet needs of construction site personnel.
  • Scenic Spots: In addition to meeting basic functions, container toilets in scenic spots pay more attention to coordination and aesthetics with the surrounding environment. They have diverse exterior designs, and some even adopt creative designs, becoming a unique scenic spot in the scenic area.
