Container House Wiring

Admin September 15, 2026

The wiring of container houses should combine factory prefabrication and on-site installation specifications, achieving efficient construction and safe use through pipeline embedding, standardized interfaces, and reasonable layout, with the following specific points:

1. Pipeline embedding in the factory prefabrication stage
The core advantage of container houses lies in factory prefabrication. Water and electricity pipelines are usually embedded in the factory. For example, Baotou Xinxing Color Plate Steel Structure Manufacturing Co., Ltd. integrates embedded pipelines into the chassis of the container, using quick-connector designs to avoid structural damage from on-site slotting. When integrating modules such as walls, roofs, and floors in the factory, pipeline channels need to be reserved to ensure precise positioning of electrical (such as lighting and sockets) and water (such as water supply and drainage) pipelines, reducing on-site installation errors.

2. Pipeline connection in the on-site installation stage
During on-site construction, standardized interfaces are required to achieve pipeline connections between modules. For example, when multiple containers are spliced, pipeline interfaces need to be reserved at the splicing points. Waterproof sealing sleeves are used to connect electrical circuits, and dedicated pipe fittings are used to connect water pipelines, ensuring firm connections without leakage. For vertically stacked containers, pipeline perforations need to be reserved at structural reinforcement nodes (such as 6-mm-thick square steel columns) to avoid compromising structural strength.

3. Rationality of wiring layout

  • Electrical wiring: Priority should be given to concealed wiring, hiding pipelines within wall or floor sandwich layers to avoid safety hazards caused by exposure. Socket and switch positions should be planned according to functional areas (such as office areas and dormitory areas) to ensure convenient electricity use.
  • Water pipeline wiring: It should be designed in conjunction with the container's ventilation system to avoid conflicts between pipelines and vents. For example, in bathroom areas, water supply and drainage pipelines should be concentrated and arranged, with maintenance ports reserved for easy post-maintenance.
  • Adaptation to special scenarios: If a container is transformed into a shower room, a rainwater collection system should be integrated. Rainwater is guided from the roof gutter to a storage module and then filtered for non-potable water uses such as toilet flushing, achieving water resource recycling.

4. Safety and compliance requirements

  • Fire resistance: Pipelines should use flame-retardant materials, such as fire-resistant cables above B1 grade, to prevent the spread of fire along pipelines in case of a fire.
  • Waterproof sealing: Waterproof glue should be used to seal pipeline penetrations through walls to prevent rainwater infiltration, which could cause short circuits or corrosion.
  • International certifications: Export products should comply with standards such as CE and ISO. Pipeline materials and connection methods should pass relevant tests to ensure safety and compliance.
