Container House Wall Panel Fixation
Admin September 15, 2026
The fixation of container house wall panels mainly employs a combined installation method using sealing tapes, connectors, self-tapping screws, and metal connecting plates, with attention to installation order, tightening degree, and protective measures.

I. Basic Installation Steps
- Sealing Treatment: Before installation, manually adhere 2x25 sealing tapes along the edges of the top frame and columns to ensure the airtightness between the wall panels and the frame, preventing rainwater or dust infiltration.
- Connector Fixation: Use an electric drill to fix the baffle connectors at the four corners of the wall panels, providing support points for subsequent wall panel positioning.
- Wall Panel Positioning and Preliminary Fixation: Start installing the wall panels from one side corner column, using guide plates to ensure that the wall panels are tightly attached to both sides of the top frame, avoiding installation deviations.
II. Key Fixation Methods
- Self-Tapping Screw Fixation: - Screw Selection: Prioritize the use of self-tapping screws with waterproof washers to prevent rust caused by rainwater penetration. - Tightening Requirements: The screw heads should be recessed into the panel surface by 0.5-1 millimeters to avoid damaging the coating layer or over-tightening, which could cause dents in the panel. - Spacing Control: The spacing between screws along the length of the panel should not exceed 300 millimeters, and each corrugated peak should be fixed at one point to ensure a secure connection between the wall panel and the joist.
- Metal Connecting Plate Reinforcement: - Installation Timing: After all wall panels are installed, install metal connecting plates on the frame. - Bolt Tightening: Pre-install 8mm*12mm bolts and nuts onto the connecting plates, and tighten the bolts with a wrench (two connecting plates per panel) to enhance the integrity between the wall panels and the frame.
III. Special Scenario Handling
- Gap Filling: When installing wall panels to the same gap, fill with two rock wool panels and wear personal protective equipment (such as masks and gloves) to prevent inhalation of rock wool fibers or skin contact.
- Wind Resistance Optimization: For coastal areas with high wind loads, conduct tests to verify the wind resistance of the wall panels, ensuring that the connection strength between the corrugated panels and the frame meets design requirements.
