Container House U-Type

Admin September 15, 2026

The U-type container house mainly refers to the type of container house that achieves space enclosure or cantilever reinforcement through a U-shaped structure, commonly seen in modular combined houses and cantilever structural designs.

Application of U-shaped Enclosed Spaces

In modular combined houses, U-shaped enclosure is a spatial form created through the offset, cantilever, or L-shaped layout of multiple container houses. For example, in scenarios such as trendy guesthouses and cafes, container houses can be arranged in a U-shape to enclose courtyards or public activity areas, enhancing spatial hierarchy and functionality. Such designs must meet structural safety requirements: cantilevered sections require diagonal bracing and are prohibited from having holes to ensure stability; at the same time, U-shaped layouts must consider corner fitting alignment and load transfer paths, and when stacking multiple containers, corner columns must be aligned and locked vertically to avoid structural instability.

Role of U-shaped Structures in Cantilever Reinforcement

For the cantilever requirements of container houses, U-shaped reinforcement components are a key technology. For example, in a cantilever reinforcement structure proposed in a patent, a rolled-edge U-shaped reinforcement component is fixed to the bottom of the container's bottom beam through an end plate and self-tapping screws, providing support for the cantilevered section. This design eliminates the need for on-site welding, maintaining the convenience of container house processing and installation, while achieving flexible connections through self-drilling self-tapping screws to adapt to different cantilever lengths and load requirements. The rolled-edge design of the U-shaped structure further enhances component stiffness, effectively dispersing stress concentration at the cantilevered end.

Application of U-shaped Connectors in Demountable Houses

Some container houses that are easy to disassemble use U-shaped connecting blocks for modular assembly. For example, in a utility model patent, a vertical plate is rotatably connected to a horizontal plate through a U-shaped connecting block. When folded, the horizontal plate is folded on both sides of the vertical plate, and when unfolded, it is fixed to form a stable structure through slides and sliders. The open design of the U-shaped connecting block facilitates quick positioning and installation of the horizontal plate, while the introduction of pentagonal pins enhances the overall lateral resistance of the house, making it suitable for scenarios such as construction site temporary buildings and emergency housing that require frequent disassembly and assembly.
