Container House Tree House
Combining container houses with tree houses is feasible and can create unique and creative living spaces. The following provides a detailed introduction from three aspects: design concept, practical cases, and advantages and characteristics:
Design Concept
The combination of container houses and tree houses integrates the modular and standardized characteristics of container houses with the nature-friendly and environment-blending features of tree houses. Designers approach the project with a fun perspective, minimizing the footprint on the soil and stacking all functions above, extending outward in different directions to make the building a member of the jungle wildlife. The facade can use materials like leaf-shaped wooden shingles to retain natural colors and use the natural environment to camouflage the entire structure. In areas lacking artificial forests and carpenters, the main wooden structure can be replaced with steel, ensuring structural stability while achieving a unique design.
Practical Cases
- Shanghai Jizhuangke's Cartoon-themed Tree House: Belonging to a modular housing system, it is full of fun and attracts people to experience architecture and nature from a child's perspective. Its external appearance is quirky, becoming a part of the jungle, and has the potential to expand modules into larger structures, ranging from garden houses to multi-family residences, hotels, or urban buildings.
- Highpoint Treehouse: Featuring a 6-story stylish design, it has a luxurious and mysterious appearance. A walkway connects the house, and all room windows offer views of the natural scenery, focusing the view on the outdoor beauty. The upper floor of the house has a large terrace and five balconies, with two bedrooms and a bathroom in the wooded area, and a jacuzzi area on the top floor, covering an area of 1600 square feet and providing various living functional areas.
Advantages and Characteristics
- Environmentally Friendly and Cost-Effective: Container houses are affordable, environmentally friendly, and quick to build, offering unlimited architectural possibilities. Their ultra-sturdy units can be stacked to create various layouts and can be customized according to various luxury facilities.
- Flexible and Versatile: The modular system can promptly and easily respond to customer requirements, providing tailored layout solutions based on the owner's needs and offering relevant information such as costs, dimensions, and schedules.
- Broad Views: The combination of container houses and tree houses allows residents to better appreciate the natural scenery and enjoy a comfortable and natural lifestyle. For example, in Highpoint Treehouse, residents can enjoy broad views and experience a blend of rural and modern living.
