Thickened Frame of Container House

Admin September 15, 2026

The thickened frame of container houses is primarily achieved by selecting higher-quality steel, increasing steel thickness, and optimizing structural design to meet higher load-bearing and safety requirements.

I. Material Selection

Thickened frames typically use Q235 or higher-strength steel, which offers excellent mechanical properties and weldability, enabling it to withstand significant loads and stresses. For example, in the thickened upgraded explosion-proof gas cylinder houses produced by container warehouse manufacturers in Huaihua, thickened load-bearing frames are employed to enhance overall stability and safety.

II. Thickness Increase

Increasing the thickness of the frame's steel is a direct method of thickening the frame. For instance, the column thickness of container houses is usually not less than 1mm, and in scenarios requiring higher load-bearing capacity, the column thickness may increase to 2mm or more. Channel steel, used as the main crossbeam for welding the top and bottom of containers, may also be upgraded from the common 5X10 specification to thicker models to enhance support.

III. Structural Design Optimization

In addition to material and thickness improvements, thickened frames enhance overall performance through optimized structural design. For example, the use of galvanized thickened frames assembled with screws instead of welding ensures structural stability while improving construction efficiency. Furthermore, some thickened frames adopt modular design, allowing individual components of the frame to be independently replaced and upgraded, further extending the lifespan of the house.

IV. Practical Application Cases

In practical applications, container houses with thickened frames are widely used in scenarios requiring high load-bearing capacity and safety. For example, explosion-proof gas cylinder houses used in factory air vents and open high-risk areas employ thickened frames and protective panels to enhance resistance to wind pressure, impact, and vibration.
