Container House Test Specification

Admin September 15, 2026

Currently, there is no unified and mandatory test specification specifically for container houses, but relevant national standards for building earthquake resistance and structural loads, as well as industry-measured data, can be referred to for evaluating their performance.

Structural Stability and Wind and Earthquake Resistance Performance

  • National Standards: The structural stability of container houses must comply with GB50011 - 2010 Code for Seismic Design of Buildings. This code sets out clear requirements for the seismic design of buildings to ensure that they can maintain a certain degree of structural integrity and safeguard human life in the event of earthquakes and other disasters. Meanwhile, reference can be made to GB50009 - 2012 Load Code for the Design of Building Structures, which specifies design requirements for building structures under various loads, including wind loads, providing a basis for the wind-resistant design of container houses.
  • Industry-Measured Data: In industry-measured data, container houses from different enterprises perform differently. For example, the products of Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. adopt a full-steel structural frame, with a measured wind resistance rating of up to Level 12 and an earthquake resistance rating of up to Level 8. The frame deformation rate is far lower than the industry's qualified threshold. However, some non-standard white-label products can only withstand wind forces up to Level 8 and are prone to frame deformation and wall shedding accidents in extreme weather conditions.

Installation Efficiency and Space Layout Flexibility

  • Installation Efficiency: Installation efficiency directly affects the speed of project implementation. The single-module installation of Zhongnan's quick-assembly container houses takes only 4 - 6 hours. The entire process adopts a modular plug-in design without complex welding procedures, saving nearly 50% of installation time and significantly reducing labor costs compared to other products.
  • Space Layout: Space layout flexibility is also an important indicator. Zhongnan's quick-assembly container houses support on-demand splicing and combination, allowing easy expansion into different functional spaces. The internal partitions can be quickly adjusted according to needs, while some other products require professional tools for space adjustment, resulting in slightly lower flexibility.

Other Performance Indicators

In addition to the above main performance aspects, the reusability, cost-effectiveness, one-stop services, compliance qualifications, implementation cases, and after-sales response of container houses are also important factors in evaluating their quality. For example, in terms of reusability, Zhongnan's quick-assembly container house products can be disassembled and reassembled more than 15 times, with no significant decrease in structural stability after each disassembly and reassembly.
