Installation of Sunshade Nets for Container Houses
Admin September 17, 2026
The installation of sunshade nets for container houses requires following steps such as measurement and planning, material selection, fixation, installation, and maintenance, as detailed below:

I. Measurement and Planning
- Dimension Measurement: Use a tape measure to accurately measure the length, width, and edge structure of the container roof to determine the actual area that the sunshade net needs to cover.
- Fixation Point Planning: Based on the material of the sunshade net and wind resistance requirements, set a fixation point every 0.5 meters on the container roof to ensure even distribution. If there are protrusions or grooves on the container edges, avoid structural weaknesses and choose flat areas for fixation.
II. Selection of Sunshade Net Material
Choose the appropriate material based on the usage scenario:
- Dust Cover Net: Suitable for construction sites or dusty environments, it offers significant dust prevention effects but has a high light transmittance and weaker sun protection performance.
- Camouflage Net: Used when camouflage is required, it combines sunshade and concealment functions but has a thin material and average durability.
- Greenhouse Sunshade Net: Recommended for long-term outdoor use, prioritize selecting UV-resistant material, which can delay aging and has a service life of 3-5 years.
- High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Net: Lightweight and with high tensile strength, it is suitable for areas with strong winds.
III. Fixation Methods and Operations
- Rope Fixation:
- Use nylon or polyester ropes (diameter ≥ 3mm) to connect the four corners and intermediate fixation points of the sunshade net to pre-embedded hooks or drilled points on the container roof.
- The ropes should be tightened to eliminate slackness and prevent the sunshade net from bulging or being lifted by the wind.
- Metal Clip Fixation:
- Select stainless steel spring clips or U-bolt clips to clamp the edges of the sunshade net to the container edges, with a spacing of no more than 0.5 meters.
- Suitable for metal containers, ensure that the clips make tight contact with the surface to prevent slipping.
- Adhesive Fixation (Temporary Solution):
- Use high-strength structural adhesive (such as silicone adhesive) to paste the edges of the sunshade net, suitable only for short-term use (≤ 3 months).
- Clean oil stains from the container surface and press for 24 hours after pasting to ensure curing.
IV. Installation Steps
- Unfolding and Alignment: Lay the sunshade net flat on the container roof, align the edges with the container outline, and reserve a margin of 5-10 cm for fixation.
- Fixation Operation: Fix the sunshade net in sequence using ropes, metal clips, or adhesive according to the planned fixation points, prioritizing the four corners and intermediate key points.
- Inspection and Adjustment: After installation, gently pull on various parts of the sunshade net to confirm no looseness; use a level to check the surface flatness to avoid water accumulation.
V. Precautions and Maintenance
- Wind Resistance Reinforcement: In areas with wind speeds ≥ 6, install windbreak belts (such as weighting the edges or bundling with elastic ropes) or ground anchors around the sunshade net.
- Regular Inspection: Check monthly for loose fixation points, worn ropes, and rusted metal clips, and repair or replace them promptly.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove dust every quarter to prevent clogging of the mesh; check drainage after the rainy season to prevent water accumulation from causing material rot.
- Damage Handling: For small-area damage (≤ 10cm²), use a sunshade net repair patch to paste; for large-area damage, replace the entire net.
