Container House Roof Eaves Closure

Admin September 15, 2026

The roof eaves closure of a container house can be achieved through reasonable design of the eave closure structure, selection of appropriate materials, and standardized installation.

Eave Closure Structure Design

The eave closure, also known as the eave edge trim, is located at the end of the roof panel near the eave and is a key part of the roof eaves closure of a container house. When designing the eave closure structure, factors such as the size, shape, and roof load-bearing capacity of the container should be fully considered. For example, if an arched roof is used, the eave closure structure should match the arch curvature to ensure overall coordination and stability. At the same time, drainage issues should be considered, and the slope of the eave closure should be reasonably designed to allow rainwater to drain smoothly and prevent water accumulation from damaging the container.

Material Selection

  • Steel and Aluminum Alloy: They have excellent strength and durability, can withstand significant external impacts and wind and rain erosion, and are suitable for container houses with high structural stability requirements. However, their cost is relatively high.
  • Waterproof Fabric: It has a low cost and is easy to install, meeting basic waterproofing needs. However, the durability of waterproof fabric is relatively poor and may require regular replacement.
  • Sealing Materials: Such as sealants, are used at the joints between the eave closure, roof panel, and container to enhance sealing performance and prevent rainwater leakage. Sealants generally need to be replaced every 5 - 7 years.

Installation Points

  • Accurate Measurement and Planning: Before installation, accurately measure the size, spacing, and positional relationship of the containers to determine the size and installation position of the eave closure, ensuring a perfect fit between the eave closure, roof, and container.
  • Secure Installation of Support Structures: The support structure of the eave closure should be installed firmly, and steel frames or aluminum alloy brackets can be used. The brackets should be bent and fixed according to design requirements to withstand the eave closure and possible external loads.
  • Standardized Installation of Eave Closure Materials: Cut and splice the selected eave closure materials according to the design size. During installation, keep them flat and smooth to avoid unevenness. At the same time, ensure that the joints between the eave closure, roof panel, and container are tightly sealed, and sealing materials can be used for sealing treatment.
