Container House Roof Design

Admin September 16, 2026

The roof design of container houses mainly includes three parts: the outer roof, the internal ceiling, and the insulation material. The design features and functions of each part are as follows:

Outer Roof Design: The material used is 104-type color-coated steel sheets with a thickness of 0.5mm. This material has good strength and durability, enabling it to withstand certain external impacts and the effects of the natural environment. Its corrugated structure plays a crucial role on rainy days. The shape of the corrugations effectively promotes roof drainage, allowing rainwater to flow away quickly and preventing water accumulation. Water accumulation not only increases the weight of the roof but may also cause damage to the roof structure over the long term, affecting the service life of the container house. Additionally, the outer roof uses customized special-shaped profiles, which reduce the number of nail-driving points on the outer roof. Excessive nail-driving points not only affect the aesthetic appearance but also increase the risk of water leakage. The use of customized special-shaped profiles makes the appearance neater and more aesthetically pleasing, reduces the water leakage rate, and improves the roof's sealing and waterproof performance.

Internal Ceiling Design: The material selected is 831-type color-coated steel sheets with a hardness of 0.326mm. This material has fire-resistant properties, which are crucial in the relatively enclosed space of a container house, effectively reducing the risk of fire and safeguarding the lives and property of occupants. Moreover, it provides effective moisture resistance and thermal insulation, creating a comfortable environment inside the container house. In humid conditions, the moisture-resistant properties prevent damage to internal items and avoid issues such as mold growth caused by moisture. The thermal insulation properties maintain a relatively stable indoor temperature throughout different seasons, reducing energy consumption.

Insulation Material Design: The roof uses thermal insulation rock wool with a density of up to 60kg/m³. Thermal insulation rock wool has excellent insulation properties, significantly improving the overall thermal insulation effect of the container. In hot summers, it prevents external heat from entering the interior, keeping the indoor space cool. In cold winters, it reduces heat loss from the interior, providing warmth. At the same time, thermal insulation rock wool also has good sound insulation properties, reducing the impact of external noise on the interior. This allows the container house to maintain a stable internal environment in various conditions, providing occupants with a quiet and comfortable living space.
