Container House Repair Specification

Admin September 15, 2026

The repair of container houses should follow the acceptance specifications for the three stages of materials, factory production, and on-site installation, combined with safety inspections and structural reinforcement requirements, to ensure that the repair quality meets industrial and civil building standards.

1. Quality Inspection and Assessment Before Repair

Before repair, a comprehensive inspection should be carried out in accordance with the "Quality Acceptance Standards for Container House Construction." Focus on checking the rust, deformation, or cracking of container structural units (corner posts, side beams, and skins), and assess whether the strength of the steel meets the requirements for road transportation and building load-bearing. For example, when repairing and reinforcing the Ruian Public Service Complex, by replacing damaged panels, sealing water leakage points, and installing waterproof iron shed tiles, the hidden danger of water leakage in the building was completely resolved. If the building has wall cracks due to foundation settlement (such as the case in Zhoupu Qigan Village, Shanghai), a professional institution should be commissioned to inspect the building's tilt rate, crack width, and structural safety to determine whether the repair plan needs to be combined with foundation reinforcement.

2. Repair Materials and Process Specifications

Material acceptance should comply with the clause on "Quality Acceptance of Container House Materials" in the standards: steel should have a factory certificate and a tensile strength test report, accessories (such as rivets and bolts) should meet anti-corrosion requirements, and sealants should pass weather resistance tests. In terms of processes, if roof renovation (such as the replacement of color steel tiles) is involved, low-VOC water-based anti-corrosion paint should be used to ensure strong adhesion and ultraviolet resistance; if structural reinforcement is required, welding materials or high-strength bolts compatible with the original structure should be used to avoid local stress concentration. For example, in the housing renovation for low-income households in Enping, container-style houses need to be equipped with three-stage septic tanks, have hardened ground surfaces, and be waterproofed to prevent rainwater backflow.

3. On-site Installation and Acceptance Standards

The repaired container houses should pass the "On-site Engineering Quality Acceptance," including structural integrity checks after transportation, installation verticality deviation (≤H/1000, where H is the building height), and connection node firmness tests. If the repair involves the modification of load-bearing walls (such as opening doorways), reference should be made to the inspection requirements of Beijing Anxinyu Engineering. First, wall reinforcement and load-bearing member inspections should be carried out, and then load calculations should be performed to assess the impact of the modifications to ensure that the remaining structural load-bearing capacity meets safety standards. In addition, after the completion of the repair project, key process records (such as welding process evaluation reports and anti-corrosion coating thickness test data) should be retained for verification by the supervision unit or on-site representatives.
