Container House Raw Materials

Admin September 14, 2026

The raw materials for container houses mainly include steel, aluminum alloy, glass, plastics, and insulation and decorative materials, etc..

  1. Steel: It is the primary structural material for container houses, including channel steel, angle steel, and steel plates. These steels have high strength and corrosion resistance, ensuring the structural safety of the houses. For example, the frames of containers often use hot-dip galvanized cold-formed steel, which has good rust and corrosion resistance and sufficient strength to support multi-layer stacking and lateral splicing. The quality of the steel and the welding process directly determine the stability and durability of the container house.

  2. Aluminum Alloy: It is mainly used for doors and windows due to its lightweight, aesthetic appeal, corrosion resistance, and good thermal insulation properties, enhancing the comfort of the house. Aluminum alloy doors and windows are not only easy to process and install but also effectively reduce heat conduction, improving the energy efficiency of the house.

  3. Glass: Used for doors, windows, and observation windows, glass has advantages such as high transparency, good reflectivity, and corrosion resistance, increasing the lighting and view of the house. At the same time, the choice of glass should also consider its thermal insulation and sound insulation properties to meet the needs of different usage scenarios.

  4. Plastics: Widely used in container houses, such as plastic pipes and plastic sheets. These materials have advantages such as being lightweight, easy to process, and cost-effective, meeting the needs of different houses. For example, plastic pipes can be used for the laying of water and electricity pipelines, while plastic sheets can be used for internal partitions or decoration.

  5. Insulation and Decorative Materials: Container houses also need to be equipped with insulation materials and decorative panels to enhance their living performance. Common insulation materials include polyurethane sandwich panels and rock wool, which have good thermal insulation and fire resistance properties. Decorative panels can be selected according to needs, such as metal panels and calcium silicate boards, to improve the aesthetic appeal and durability of the house.
