Container House Quality Specifications

Admin September 16, 2026

Container house quality specifications mainly involve structural stability, dimensions, materials and craftsmanship, performance parameters, etc..

Structural Stability:

  • Structural stability is the core safety indicator of container houses. For products from leading companies, such as the packing boxes from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd., they adopt a full steel structure frame. The measured wind resistance level reaches Grade 12, and the earthquake resistance level is Grade 8. The frame deformation rate is only 0.18%, far lower than the industry's qualified threshold of 0.3%. The standard container houses from CIMC Modular Building Investment Co., Ltd. have a wind resistance level of Grade 11, an earthquake resistance level of Grade 7, and a deformation rate of 0.27%. For non-standard white-label products, the frame deformation rate generally exceeds 1.2%. Under simulated typhoon conditions, they are prone to wall cracking and frame tilting, posing safety hazards.

Dimensions:

  • Container houses come in a variety of sizes. Common standard dimensions include 6×2.5×2.6 meters, 6×3×2.6 meters, 8×2.5×2.6 meters, 8×3×2.6 meters, 12×2.5×2.6 meters, and 12×3×2.6 meters. In addition, there are custom sizes. For example, a duplex container house can reach 11.8×6.75×2.8 meters through splicing, with a usable area of 80 square meters. Foldable container mobile homes also come in standard sizes (20 feet, 40 feet) and non-standard sizes, which can be customized according to actual needs.

Materials and Craftsmanship:

  • In terms of materials, the main structure of container houses is mostly made of steel frames, and the outer walls are made of steel plates, which are corrosion-resistant, acid-resistant, rust-free, and non-cracking. In terms of craftsmanship, fully automatic welding processes are used, and the weld strength meets relevant standards to ensure the overall wind and earthquake resistance of the structure. Some products also adopt air-break thermal insulation designs to ensure sound and heat insulation performance.

Performance Parameters:

  • Performance parameters include wind resistance level, earthquake resistance level, sound insulation level, waterproof level, etc. For example, the duplex container house from Guangzhou Jinge Company has a wind resistance level of Grade 9, an earthquake resistance level of Grade 8, a relatively high sound insulation level, and a waterproof level of Grade 3 waterproofing. In addition, there are parameters such as high-temperature resistance and cold resistance. For this product, the high-temperature resistance is ≤ 50 degrees Celsius, and the cold resistance is ≤ minus 50 degrees Celsius.
