Container House Qualification Certificate

Admin September 16, 2026

The qualification certificate for container houses must be obtained through three stages: material acceptance, factory production acceptance, and on-site installation acceptance, and must comply with national and industry standards, providing complete quality certification documents.

1. Material Quality Acceptance Certificate

The steel, accessories, and other materials used in container houses must meet the following requirements:

  • Steel: The steel for the container body must be weather-resistant welded steel (GB/T 4171), while non-container body components can use Q235B or Q345B steel (GB/T 700, GB/T 1591). Material certificates and yield strength test reports must be provided (the mainstream industry requirement is not less than 345MPa).
  • Fireproof Materials: The use of flammable core materials such as EPS for enclosure filling is prohibited. For crowded places, Class A rock wool or glass wool must be used, and a combustion performance test report (with a fire resistance limit of ≥0.5h) must be provided.
  • Other Materials: Accessories and electrical wiring must comply with current national standards, such as the fire prevention requirements for electrical wiring installation.

2. Factory Production Quality Acceptance Certificate

Container houses produced in the factory must pass the following acceptances:

  • Structural Safety: Corner fittings must be intact and reliable, beams and columns must be free of defects, and weld quality must comply with standards (such as the requirements of T/CECS 1932-2025). Spot welding is prohibited as a substitute.
  • Process Compliance: Processes such as integral welding and light steel keel types must comply with design requirements. Opening positions must be symmetrically arranged, and openings are prohibited in overhanging sections.
  • Factory Identification: Qualified components must be marked with identification. For a batch of inspections to be qualified, the sampling of main control items must be qualified, and the pass rate of general items must be ≥80%.

3. On-Site Installation Quality Acceptance Certificate

On-site installation must comply with the following requirements:

  • Installation Specifications: When stacking multiple containers, corner fittings and corner columns must be aligned and locked vertically. Lateral force-resisting members must be symmetrically arranged in plan and uniformly stiff in the vertical direction.
  • Acceptance Documents: On-site installation records, concealed work acceptance reports, and structural safety test reports must be provided.
  • Compliance Standards: Refer to current standards such as T/CECS 1932-2025 'Container House Quality Acceptance Standards' and GB50016 'Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings'.

4. Other Key Certification Documents

  • Existing Container Inspection Certificate: If an existing container is used, a GB/T12418 inspection certificate must be provided to ensure that all eight corner fittings are intact and beams and columns are free of defects.
  • Design Documents: Design drawings that comply with the BIM model and structural calculation reports must be provided.
  • Enterprise Qualifications: Production enterprises must establish a quality traceability system, and testing equipment must be calibrated and qualified. Construction units or supervision units should send representatives to supervise on-site.
